jokes aside, my maths education never stopped, even though my schooling did... i'd love to go back and get the black belt... maybe one day.

Anyway, I don't think you need extremely advanced math for fractal art... except maybe in a few isolated cases. Often a good knowledge of 2d and 3d geometry should be sufficient.

i certainly wouldn't mind knowing how to derive those distance estimators for 3d fractals... being able to render them in indigo would be incredible.

comme *lindelsokse, je trouve tes dernières fractales particulièrement belles (j'adore les gammes de couleur), et c'est encore plus beau avec les détails des versions gigapixels. en plus, le nombre et la régularité de tes images dans ta galerie donne un effet d'ensemble très cohérent. bref, j'aime beaucoup
désolé de m'étendre (surtout que j'étais partit pour simple un "thank you") mais je m'exprime tellement rarement en français sur deviantart que j'en profite
