I think it's because it appeared on either the "Undiscovered" or "What's Hot" tab (I can't recall which). Art that appears there gets seen by more people

It's comforting to know I'm not the only one who loves Prydain and wants to see it read and loved by others. Your comic book adaption of The Book of Three has reminded me not only how much I enjoy the story, but how much I love the comic book medium and would like to make my own stories with art.Β

Do you think that Disney should do a live action reboot of The Black Caldron?

What I think is immaterial; they own the rights, and two years ago announced plans to make new films. I wish it had been anyone BUT Disney, but I think they have a chance at doing something wonderful with the material if they can treat it respectfully. I don't hold out much hope for that, though, and given the complete silence on the topic since their initial announcement, I rather doubt it will ever come to fruition.Β

It's probably going to be one of those shot for shot remakes of their classic animated film remakes like The Jungle Book, Cinderella and Beauty and the Beast. And Disney claims every fairy tale, books, and film franchisees and they own it. Β Β

Well, that I doubt. The animated film is garbage and they know it; it took them years to acknowledge it and make it available on the video/dvd market, and it's probably the primary reason they haven't moved on the project yet; they don't have a direction (which is ridiculous; the story is right in front of them and they've already had screenplays pitched, yet they're greenlighting crap like a Chernobog movie instead of this). Last I heard they were thinking of condensing the five books into a trilogy, which isn't ideal but at least shows they were considering more than a one-off. It's two-year-old info now though, so who knows.

Personally, I think it would be a perfect series adaptation for their streaming service once it has launched. I think a 10-episode per season Game of Thrones style (but minus the sex, nudity and harrowing gore) could be incredible. I've been working hard on my own adaptation/series bible in the event I'm ever in the position to pitch it. I think it would allow the series to breathe, more than films.
Where did you hear they were considering a trilogy?
