I could use your help. As you are so knowledgeable about old scripts I could use your advise. I don't want to make anything magical that can be used, just something that looks good.

I come from a saying that anyone can criticize, but a good man can help out afterwards. If what you said about the soul stealer really offends you, then help me find another font and I will see what I can do.

You already have and are using several of the fantasy fonts I would recommend, e.g. due to their being created for HPL's Mythos, e.g. "Cthulhu Runes" (in Contact Hastur) and "Cthulhu Glyphs" (in Summon Azathoth).

Others I haven't spotted in your gallery yet (so if you don't have them, I do recommend): "Accursed", "Glyphis1", "Glyphis2", "Glyphis3", "Miskatonic", "Oblivion" (set of 4), "Runes of the Dragon" and "Runes of the Dragon Two", "WizardSpeak" and "WizardSpeak Worn".

If Googling doesn't find these and if I can't locate a link, I'd be happy to email you my copies.

Also, would you like to try out the effect of using "hand-print" fonts replacing glossy publisher-type text-fonts for the incantation portions? "Anarchistic", "Asphyxiate", "BrokenHand" and "BrokenHand Light", "Corinthian", "CrazyWritten", "crtOphelia", "Cup and Talon", "CuttyFruty", "DuffyScript", "FraxHandwritten" and "FraxHandwrittenXtrem", "Malagua", "Manu Gothica 19 FG", "OgdredWeary" (=Edward Gorey), "Prophecy Script" (with extra ligatures to make the handwriting convincing), "RedStar" and "RedStar Bold", "Roanoke Script", "Saeculum", "SalemWF", "Signerica" (Fat/Medium/Thin), "skeetch", "StrangeBlackLetter", "Sudestada" and "Sudestada Ends", and "Tycho'sRecipe"? Just a quick sampling on a run-through, but I like them.

Note: Despite our fooforaw over Glagolitic, I don't think anyone (e.g. Wiccans) would have good reason to complain about the Theban script in Summon Shub-Niggurath. That script long predates Wicca. And as for your concern about "real magic" vs "LARP props"... uh, Clint, it's a transposition-cipher alphabet. You can write your grocery list in it, if you like. Nothing untoward will happen.

Sorry this reply took so long. I've been up the past two days and nights coughing, nebulizing, drinking lots of hot tea, and it's just been distracting. What a winter.
