# About me
Empty nester, Children have families of their own now.Have been using gimp since 2003. Still learning. Also interested in other types of digital artwork. Fractals etc; not mathematiccally minded though so prefer the scripts that other people have already made and make my own mix from them.
The last picture I drew 'manually' was well before I had a scanner so couldn't copy (found it! and scanned) sallyannester.deviantart.com/aβ¦
My main photo editor is the gimp. I even have it on my (volunteer work) computer now. Main graphic work I do is with Gimp too. If I need to use the G'MIC plugin for gimp, I use the online one now at work. I have all on my home computer.
I have been recognised as a photo restorer which is a hobby of mine.

Hello. Welcome.
I've a feeling you are not new to the site.
I see my fractals are your first favourites. Thanks a lot.

Hello CopperColour.
Thank you for commenting in my profile.
I did come by this site about a year ago, joined but never did anything about it. I think through 'Griatch's' work.Β A link on another site to here. I do like fractals and have a couple of software programs to make them but am no mathematician. I like to see what I can find in a fractal.....I may buy the Ultra Fractal if I can work it out. I have only had the trial for a couple days so we will see.

Hello.
I think UF is a fantastic programme. It's not really hard to use despite a reputation for 'a steep learning curve'.
I find that you can make attractive fractals even if you don't know all the clever tricks that other people use.
I started by modifying other people's parameters, but only short ones, and by changing the original gradient.
There are plenty of good gradients around such as collections.
After a short while you will find you can make decent gradients yourself.
There is friendly help to be found at
Good luck. It's really worth trying.
