Hey! I'm truly humbled that you'd consider the photos I've taken to be good. Definitely have never been told that before.
I've only ever taken them as the random snapshot while out and about, and fixed any small contrast/hue problems.
And I'm actually living in the ACT (Canberra) - Though I have been to Perth

I was told my photos were good but several people, but I didn't think so. After looking at them I could see stuff in each phot as to why I took it. Perhaps it was the way the photo was framed or the lighting was caught in a particularly interesting way. But I could see that perhaps I had the basic buildings blocks needed to take good photos. I've got a long, long way too go, but it is so much fun learning!
I can see from your photos, in my humble opinion, you catch and frame the subject in very unique ways... for example: Floating ferns... tremendous sense of illusion. Champagne Pool has wonderful colors and the interesting texture of the mist, which I would risk saying that is what brought you to pull out the camera. The Sunset photo has the wharf railing framing in the picture giving the viewer an idea as to the setting. If you've been to a pier, wharf, or extended bridge in the water, you get an instant feeling when you see that railing. Plus the sunset is gorgeous with vivid colors and a slight silhouetting of the village across the way. Points is interesting to me (and I really want to pursue this) in that you caught wonderful shadows and played it against the motion of the person walking... to me it is a great indicator of your eye for framing a picture.
Keep up the great work! You've got one helluva wonderful area in which to photograph I am quite a bit jealous! Plus I've got family in Perth I need to visit.... that 24 hour plane flight... whooo boy... I hate flying!

Well I'm definitely humbled by your compliment. It's given me a motivation to try and keep up my photography up in my life even if I don't intend to ever take it on as an actual profession.
I'll have to admit that Points was a bit of a fluke - I didn't notice the guy walking in until I'd hit the button. haha, but I'm glad all was not lost.
And I'm sure you've got access to an equal number of scenes and sights that aren't available here, so I think we're even. I definitely never considered my city to be all that exciting for photography - vast majority of my photos come from my holidays.
Perth is an excellent place, I loved it when I went there a few years back. you should have excellent photographing experiences there (Enough to possibly justify a 24 hr flight plan..?)

As much as I would love getting paid to photograph, I think I like it without all the pressure doing it as a job would bring.
I do have unusual and photograph-able scenes here... it is Las Vegas after all.
Keep up the great work... I'm looking forward to seeing much more of your great works
