With tribal a lot of people just do the flat black style. I use to tattoo a lot of it. After a while it gets a little redundant. I tend to add color, shade, so on and so forth (very rarely, flat black. Unless the design can stand on its own).

So it's cool to see someone take a different approach to something that's really cool, but at the same time, is getting really old.
