Heya!

Things are pretty good! My holiday was relentlessly busy, but rewarding. I'd have liked to have had another week to actually relax, but I at least know what I want to do, going forward.

I'm making sourdough at the moment! Another 10 minutes and I'll go and punch the air out of it again and shape it into two loaves.

well its good to be able to get things done sourdough sounds good hope it turned out well im good just practicing getting different texture in coloured pencil

It did! It was hard to cut but that belied how squidgy the bread itself was. Not in a raw way - it was cooked all the way through just fine - but in an almost crumpet-y kind of way. The crust was perfectly crispy in a way that contrasted with the squidgy bread really well. I have a list of four or five things I'll do differently/watch out for next time, but I'd call this go a success!

Oh my goodness! Yes!! That would be totally awesome of you! I submitted two of my favorite stories yesterday to your group, but this one is also a favorite of mine:

Cause To Ponder
The cursor mocks her on the screen. A myriad of “what ifs” rages though her already tired brain as she keeps her sealed lips between her teeth. Her lips are always chapped, frayed bits of invisible flesh constantly flaking, a metaphor for how she feels at each new stab. Another wound, another scar, another displaced fleck of flesh in the dark she keeps alone and to herself.
The cursor blinks. She has not yet responded with the words she needs. Simple conversation between the lines. It feels shallow comparatively.
Friendships shouldn’t be tested. Boundaries shouldn’t be breached. She needs to remember to keep her desires to herself. No one can “help” her now. Sometimes things just get out of hand, and there’s no coming back from here. She thinks of life preserves labeled “Titanic.”
She doesn’t think of knights in shining armor. But damaged and dirty, tabards torn and windblown as the smoke billows from behind the battered battl
