Hm..I learned that for colorful images glossy is very good, for alot of dark and black matte and glosyy are both good, but many people still prefer matte for black and glossy for colorful.

Originally I shot the image with a very dark blue gradient filter, so that the top end of the picture was dark, and the bottom was light. When converted to black and white this creates a nice effect. For the contrasts of the clouds I used my polorizing filter..

with the two questions i wanted to point on sugarangel's "we are great", which, yes, seemed a bit unappropriate, at least in such a case. my lai (or son my) was a town being chosen for a massacre in southern vietnam in 1968 killing over 100 civilians, the main accused lieutenant was released, despite of a life sentence, after 3 years. the other committers enjoyed the government's caresses already from the beginning. and tiger force is a military unit which, a year before the my lai massacre, seemingly felt a similar urge to waste lives. so with my questions i asked if the names of those civilian people were immortalized into stone as well at that place.
