Hello...this is Bertron Hamill, "Scarred One" is a trade name of mine.Sturgis, Mississippi is my home where I was raised in a simple life on a ranch and homeschooled by loving parents. My interests developed over the years in carpentry, outdoors, wrangling, trail riding, tactical and self defense exercises, politics, music, piano, penny whistle, history, family history, Irish history and culture, Irish tales and stories, celtic mythology, photography, reading, writing, poetry, engineering, science, research, Bible study, and spending time with loved ones such as family and friends.
I have a Bachelors of Science degree in Industrial Technology.
By profession, I work as a Research Associate at the Institute for Clean Energy Technology (ICET) of Mississippi State University. In function, I serve as testing personnel as we test nuclear grade High Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) filters and collect data regarding the performance of said filters for sponsors such as the U.S. Department of Energy. One might say, in descriptive terms, that we're as close as it gets to NASA without actually being NASA.
Additionally, I am also an author, currently of eight books, as I primarily discuss and expound on scriptures as what some may view as "theology" but I simply view them as simple truths. Sometimes I expound on these "simple truths" in poetry, other times I simply discuss them as I casually "walk through" scriptures. I have come to dub my published works as a sort of franchise given the name "Profitable Books" for all scripture "is profitable" (2Tim.3:16 kjv). I have enjoyed photography and writing over the years, and I anticipate to post some of my works (photos, poems, novels, etc.) here. I have also exploited my pictures for book decoration. My poems vary, but usually cover material of biblical value. I do not plan on posting Bible Studies of my book material of discussions unless I receive requests in showing demand here that calls for it, so if you show interest, I will gladly post them for you. I have other unpublished projects on hand such as a novel, a biography, and other notes that are in the working that I wish to post here.
My hope here is to observe what kind of reaction I might witness from an audience covering a wide spectrum of backgrounds, interests, and perspectives. A form of "Data Collection", if you will, as I conduct this research. I will welcome advise, suggestions, compliments, and anything you have to say including critiques. However, please note that while I will regard constructive criticism appreciatively, I am regarding and entreating this as a "professional" world. I will regard destructive criticism and criticism, void of substance, as unprofessional conduct and will ignore and disregard it. It is my aim to conduct myself professionally to be respectful and caring of others, and I ask you to at least show the decent courtesy of conducting yourselves respectful with me.
Most curiously, I wish to see what reaction I might receive with my novel, "The Reckoning of Olote". This is a mythology that I've developed, and although it has been slow in progress, it has been fun to work with.
