If you are looking for some new icons, please don't go with the flow and make another new 'Finder' or 'Safari' icon. There are tons and most of them look exactly the same.

I'm personally always looking for some good trashcan/dustbin icons as the default Apple ones look horrible. I also haven't seen a fire extinguisher so far. And what about a key or an oldstyle bomb? A 3D plug icon would be nice as well :) (Smile)

Please also always add '.icns' to your release - makes it much easier for all the Mac users.

isn't it for mac users easy anyway? dont you just copy the pic from the information panel? thats at least how i do it...

There is a great forum at macthemes2.net which has plenty of good designers and and in my opinion the best icon releases on this planet (not sure if you know that forum).

'.icns' are like a container where different icon sizes are enclosed within it. OSX is using these different icons with different sizes rather than resizing for everything. A 16x16 icon can look completley different than the 512x512. Good example: [link]

The most common tool to change icons under OSX is 'Candybar' from Panic: [link]
