"easy on the eyes" ^_^;; maybe so but it lacks greatness... generally you can tell because if something is really great and full of life, it will get a lot of comments... mine get views but not many comments. i think they lack something like enthusiasm for life.

and you know, i didn't want to be mean when critiquing your work because i kind of think you should give up drawing as a major if art is what you were going to do and it's not just a hobby for you, because you dont seem far enough along in it (though an individuals advancement over short periods of time depends on them).
Plus i mean if you were just snapping pictures without really thinking and they came out that great looking i though maybe i should give you some encouragement toward that.
Dont let me change your mind though if drawing is what you wanted to do... consider what you want not what others think is best for you. hell if i did that, i probably wouldn't be an animation major(not much $ my mum hates it! >_<.
If there are any problems you have with drawing though, feel free to ask me and i can do my best to help.
I am looking forward to watching your drawings get better.
Oh! and put a black or white border around your photos it can make them stand out more and also look a little professional ^_~

yeah but i'm starting to get better again.

i finished my first lip sync. i wasn't going to post it cause it's just crappy homework i had to do, i'll post it in my scraps if you want to see it. it's the first one i did. my teacher gave the class a bunch of vocal clips we had to put to animation. it's kinda sad but i think mine may have been one of the better syncs in class. ^_^;; some people i think had dubbing problems though.

lol i'll have to upload some of my more recent drawings. I agree with you though, my drawing skills are way behind. I have alot to learn but i'm slowly getting there (when i say slow i mean slooooooow ^_^) but i think i'll take your advice and start taking more pictures. Hopefully i'll find a medium that i didn't even know i was good at. I think the main reason i don't upload any pictures is because of two very valid reasons.

1. crappy scanner
2. utter and complete laziness.

both of which are very good reasons. . . . ok so not really but it works in my head. But i will deffinately take you help if your offering it. Thank you, thank you. lol

Oh and if theres one piece of advice i can give you it's this. If you really want to be an animator go for it. Don't let anyone else (even your mom) stand in the way of your dreams. It's because of people like that, that my drawings aren't as good as they should be. It's YOUR dream. Live it! And besides there's tonnes of people looking for good animators, you just gota look ^_--

That's what i'm doing... i go to the art institute for animation. I'm not very good at all yet. We just learned last week how to sync up vocals to our tracks ^_^;;

So i've got time to get better. I work slowly. but i can inbetween really nicely if i'm allowed the time to sit there and think about it. but with projects every week most peoples assignments look pretty crappy compared to what i think they can do and what i'm sure they know they can do comparatively if they had the time.

i know what you mean. Like in our english class, we go through essays like some people eat popcorn. I can barely keep up, and the quality of my work shows. I can't afford to sit down for any lenght of time to think about what i have to write before i have to write it. *sigh* i guess thats the price we have to pay for the speed of our society.

lol oh man, my art class is horrible! i don't think they've ever heard of perspective. But then again, considdering the pictures you've seen me draw you might think i have no sense of the word either ^_^. Oh well, it's only the second class.

Well i'm glad to hear that your following your dream, From what seen, people who conform to other peoples dreams are never happy. I'm trying to foloow mine too. I hope within a few years i'll be a university prof. hehe i never thought i would want to go BACK to school. ^_--

Well eventually i want to become an art prof majoring in the Fine Arts area. And the way i'm setting it up it'll take me roughly 8 years to get where i'm going, but I'll be considdered "top of the line" when i do get out. lol if you can even considder a human being as top of the line. ^_^ You do need a masters to become a university prof in art. Anything else you need a PHD. thank god i don't need that.

And as far as profs being crazy i TOTALY agree.

I remember drawing lima bean characters! i think it probably made me a worse drawer. Not sure how but i think it's possible 0_o lol. It's good to hear your getting where you want to be. I know what it feels like to look back on your older drawings and they're better then they are now. Makes it seem like you've receeded instead of growing. I hate that feeling --_--

what kind of prof? and in a few years(you mean like four? dont you need a masters for most universities)? anyway that'll be mighty fast but you can probably give a little hope to future students by becoming one. some of those professors are just straight crazy.
what major were you interested in?

i started drawing in middle school so i actually had time for it. i actually started to get pretty good but then i had to stop for the most part in highschool and i got pretty bad ^_^;; there were a few things i drew around 8th or 9th grade that i went and looked back at and it made me want to kill myself cause i thought they were better drawing wise as well as design wise. it was so depressing --_--
lol ^_^ i'm getting better again though.. i really should sit in on the figure drawing classes though. my figure has been a tad off lately. probably from the cute and brute characters we had to draw for character design ^_^;; drawing lima bean shaped characters seems to have thrown off my character designing abilities. i've always been more into full scale and chibi characters.
not like the mugsey(sp) characters from bugsbunny and the like.
