We're just starting second semester this week, so I have a bunch of new classes.. well, kind of, most of them are "part 2" of what I had last semester.. heh. Heya... thought you might be interested in this. It's one of the requirements of entry that you post this to three other people's pages, so I thought I might actually post it to some people who might want to enter it. I'll welcome competition from someone such as yourself
It's a competition, and the theme is DETERMINATION. The main prize is a 1 year sub, second prize is a 3-month sub, third prize is a 1-month sub... but if you win, you could probably ask if it could be changed to a prints account or if you can give it to someone else. Final entry day's Janurary 21st 2005 or when 28 deviations are submitted, whichever comes first.

Thanks for the great comment on my Gadwall. Yup, relatively plain duck, almost didn't submit it, but it screamed "Do ME!", so I had to.
Loved the tip about the swans....already went to Ridgefield 3x this year...promised the wife that was my limit. I really want to capture swans....damn! Last trip was for the Sandhill Cranes...they were there, but soooo far off, even I couldn't get a shot of them. Rats, too.

Thanks for the comment on my recent hawk shot. I remember you'd said you liked raptors. I've been aiming for them more lately. Yup, focus seemed stronger on the tail, but with my digiscoping setup I have two major issues. The camera sometimes just doesn't want to co-operate (why you ask???? got me!!!!) and a fairly narrow DOF (wider DOF settings viginette the image to the extreme). I'm limited to maybe up to F-4 at most. It keeps me trying, harder and harder....
