Really...i've never come across that sort of error message.
I'm using FB2K v0.9.6.8. on XP SP3.
Have a look at this screenshot showing FB2K Preferences so you can see what Components i have installed.
Also you can see the Samurize Visualization recognised under Visualizations.

I can't get mediafire to get past 1% upload so ive tried another file hoster. [link]

There's 4 components in there.3 with foo in the title go in foobar/components folder & the spectrumviz one goes in samurize/plugins folder.

Any probs get back to me & we'll get there in the end i'm sure.

That's very odd...does your foobar play files,mp3's ok?

Also have you tried totally uninstalling foobar & then reinstalling & resetting it to default settings?

I haven't got msn but have got skype if you've got that.

It plays everything fine i do have columns ui and a custom theme etc.
