Uh...  not Ticket to Life.  I'll be working on that; Passion in Falls; Lapis Shard; and Lost, yet found by Fire during my off times.  Just will be really... really slow.  Cry for the Plains of Green Flames is my story which won't be under my name anymore.  Giving someone my notes on it.

You're welcome.  A few years ago I didn't really think too highly of fanfiction, but after reading a few good ones I ended up writing some.  Reading your essay made me remember the semi-short process that I went through.  From being someone who would never read it and seeing it in a negative light to being someone who will defend it as an author is just...  I don't know what to say.

I believe there's an expression: "Prove you've got a mind: change it"  

I suppose my essay may give people something to think about, but in the end you do have to actually read some of the best fanfics to understand what all the fuss is about ^^ I'm just blown away by the abilities of some of the writers.

Yea, but I was also blown away by the lack of abilities some of the writers show.  They make horrible and filthy stories just for the WTF factor.  I had to seriously filter out the writers that weren't serious.

I just recently started writing myself and got some pretty nice remarks when it came to my stuff.  I can see myself writing fanfiction well into my years, not for anything but the joy I get while writing.
