Thank you so much for the faves. Coming from such a talented artist and crafter, this means a lot to me. I love your larp-stuff, the masks and equipment. I do viking reenactment and fantasy stuff myself and I also have thing for orcs... Your gallery is amazing!

I've not been on DA in a looong time, just wanted to give you an update on the Orc kit. Have made a woolen jerkin out of scrap, shin/knee guards of ...22 ga steel I think? Chest and back metal armour, shoulder guard in metal, right upper arm in metal. Reworking left pauldron. There is a helm in 4 pieces as well, need to figure that one out. The leather leggings are WAYYY dirty! Burnt in spots as well. Leather primitive shoes. Redid mask, more paint and added hair, using trimmed wool, for eyebrows and muttonchops, and very ragged beard.
Leather gauntlets., added metal to one. leather 'buttflap', and front bits. Rather scroungy and dingy for certain, now! The leather strips have been well trod into dirt and ashes on shop floor, and used as ties for the lot. Hopefully will have pics up in near future.
Hope you have been doing well and enjoying new projects!

I can't wait to see that. It seems you've put a lot of effort into it.
Tell me when you post a picture of your garb.

Voila bonne journée a toi !

Small update for you on Orc armour. I haven't put time into it at all yet since work is busy and I'm wiped out from it (aquiring Skyrim hasn't helped either, lol). I picked up 2 snapping turtle shells that will be shoulder guards, and a buffalo horn tip to use as war horn. I need to find leather strips or just dirty down some scraps I have. Tandy didn't have any small bits of deer hide which is what I prefer. Now all I have to do is draw out some means to attach shells. I wasted a few hours at leather shop digging thru scraps and coming up empty. I didn't want to spend 30 dollars on a bag of strips. Guess it is time to improvise.
