# About me

So far, all I've got are the handful of free verse poems I wrote in January. I want to be a musician but lack the determination to learn how to play or write music so for now I just listen, though I do have a guitar and intend to get a piano ASAP and plan to learn both. I sing, quite a lot - but only when no one can hear me. I dabbled with digital art when I was younger but stopped as I was distracted by some hectic happenings in my life at the time and never got back to it but I'd like to start again soon and actually go out of my way to continually learn new things as I go rather than just messing around like I did back then. I'm god awful at any kind of hand drawn/painted art but I know that to get past that I just have to put some time into practicing and learning and I'll get better with time. I also love photography and I'm a damned fool for not having a real camera and want to get into that too. Hopefully, in time, I'll be submitting deviations of at least some of the above types and hopefully they won't be that bad, I don't know... time will tell. What I do know is that despite all the things I can't and don't do, I'm an artist and I will create art in some form or another, sooner or later. Maybe I'll even stop hiding it from all the people I know and put my real name on it but for now I'm just going to put it out there with this pseudonym because although what I've written so far reveals a \things about me that I prefer to hide, why create bother creating art if you're not even going to share it with others? Why would you express yourself to no one? So here I am, engaging in a little bit of creative expression just for the hell of it and seeing how it goes. So far, I'm happy with what I've already written and what I've got in the works and that's what really counts. Getting past the egotistical barriers that impede creative freedom has been liberating. I hope to continue letting my mind flow with creation, without automatically censoring my expression in the early stages of its conception, preventing it's very manifestation just as it starts, as so many of us have the unfortunate tendency to do. Any extent of freedom from the shackles of ego is something to be eternally grateful for.
