haha i drew in my sketchbook a lot when i was 14, but i kinda quit for some reason ;v;
and aaahhh thankies!!! <33 i love pastel colours so much and i couldn't /not/ use 'em! 
i really need to experiment with my own art because.. tbh.. i feel like i've been drawing the exact same way since i was 13.. and the only thing that has changed is the anatomy accuracy... sigh

I'm sorry to ruin your sketch, like extremely sorry because its already so good. But, could the cat be sitting in grass at night with some fireflies around it, (the flies dont need to move if it's too much work), looking towards the camera while blinking and/or wagging it's tail?

Sure! I may not be able to do the tail wag but I can do the fire flies moving.
I tend to do icons from shoulders up (primarily the face)
Would you mind if it isn't completely fullbody?

Sure! It can be an upclose of the cat's face. If you're able to make it blinking while the fireflies moved around it that would be awesome!
