I pray this message finds anyone looking for me in the future.
In approximately 24 hours, DeviantArt will have forced upon every single user the Eclipse version, and the Classic version will be no more. I will no longer have much interest in this site afterwards, as the option for Classic mode was my only reason to stay. If I do not return, then I am sorry. But I have no love for the Eclipse. To anyone in the future bothering to read this message, assuming it is still around after the coming Eclipse, I salute you, for putting up with the mistakes DeviantArt makes. I was not strong enough to follow in your footsteps.
And if, by some miracle, DeviantArt listens to the community and stops the Eclipse, then I’m glad. I’m glad that DeviantArt cares for its community’s opinions and preferences. And I hope I’m still around here to see that day, if it comes.
But in the very likely event that the Eclipse does create a shroud of darkness that covers our Sun that is the Classic mode, this is quite possibly my goodbye to the formerly wonderful site that was DeviantArt.
