Haha, I had a vague idea but I am a bit of a noob when it comes to up north, have never ventured that far XD Sadly not Has been sunny on and off but now it's just drizzly! Look at us stereotypical Brits talking about the weather! XD

Same! XD I have a uni friend who loves nutella on crumpets..can't say I would try that because they're already amazing just with butter! Yes, they make good days for artistic works, and can sometimes inspire with nature being all pretty and stuff (cliché!) It's good you started uploading ;D your gallery is definitely suited for DeviantArt ;D

Nooo that would ruin them XD the only thing that is acceptable on crumpets other than butter is marmite True, I wouldn't mind doing something other than portraits at some point, would be nice to get outdoors and have a look at nature XD Thanks! I love it on here, there are so many Zelda lovers and people that like all the same things as me I can let out my true nerdiness on here XD Your drawings are really good by the way! I love the really dark tones I don't have any pencils darker than 6B! Should really invest in some darker ones XD

Ah so you're a marmite lover! My mortal enemy! XD Yeah although portraits are great to draw, since people's faces say so much in them (especially the eyes, so important to get the eyes right!) but nature could get boring after a while, definitely worth it though and I bet you could do it well

Yes, the community is awesome! it's good you have somewhere to geek out! And thank you very much! I do my best ;D 6B is still pretty dark which is good, the highest I know of is 9B which is insane! When I use my graphite 9b pencil I literally can't rub it out it's so intense xD but gives the picture a wonderful depth that you just can't get with the other B shades.

Aww we never get much snow Hope we do this year, had none last year and only a little bit the year before A white christmas would be awesome, I'm excited for christmas already XD I saw loads of tins of quality street in the co-op today and was like it's coming! XD

Yeah the eyes say a lot! Maybe I'll do a snowy nature picture if we're lucky enough to get any!

Your pictures do have a nice depth to them maybe I'll try out using some really dark shades (:

Ah well the snow is 90% of the time just slush anyway so you're not missing out too much Haha I saw all the christmas stock in the co-op as well! XD They like to stock early don't they can't wait for the terry's chocolate orange white with the popping candy...they tend to show up around christmas (I hope you know which one I mean! XD)

That'd be cool! I can imagine snow being difficult to draw in pencil because there's so much white, anything white is hard to get right with pencil xD Hopefully snow will come this year, it's only september and it feels like late November already!

Aw thank you ;D It'd be cool if you did, but some people don't like it so much because it can get messy (especially with graphite pencils which I've found are the best for capturing that really dark depth). And it's super hard to erase once it's down, and I'm a pain for making so many errors! XD I look forward to any pieces you do with darker shades would be cool to see

Yeah, true xD I really want snow! Need some to make up for the complete lack of it last year It does feel really close to christmas already to me even though we still have halloween and bonfire night to go yet XD

No problem I think I will invest in a 9B, I don't mind a little mess, when I paint I get it all over my hands cause I use my fingers to blend and tweak parts XD same with drawing actually

SO true xD next we'll be talking about crumpets and tea (although I could so go for some right now!) Can't be helped, we want a good summer I've had about four months off for Uni summer holiday and no good weather, not fair! On the bright side it gives us artists an excuse to stay indoors and let the afternoon pass by while we draw

It's nice, but it's rarely hot enough to go to the beach Not that that stops me going, I think I've just grown accustomed to the freezing cold water XD
