(i.) first day of school was universally a nerve wracking day for anyone, especially if you were new. gwen stacy was one of those kids today. with her class schedule in hand and her school guide, which was one of those preppy, cheerleading types, at her side, gwen only felt a bit less nervous.

(ii.) yet the major traffic in this school caused her nerves to tense. dear god...there was so much happening, so many stares...that she accidentally ran into someone.

i. this was a fairly big school with a healthy amount of students. that being said, peter had already caught wind of a new student in his grade. he had hoped they were nice and decent to talk to. who was he kidding though, everyone but him was likeable
ii. his thoughts were cut off though as he bumped into something, or rather, someone. he stumbled back a bit before looking towards the stranger, his eyes widening a bit.“ a-ah, no! it’s not you’re fault at all, totally not. i need to watch where i’m going. ”
“ umm.. ”iii. this had to be the new girl, and judging by just looks alone, she’d be welcomed into the “popular” clique with open arms. still, peter thought she seemed nice enough. at least she didn’t yell at him like most girls here do“ you don’t...i-i mean, well. ”
“ a-are you new here? ”

(i.) the blonde girl arches a brow at the teen, her gaze flickering over to the girl at her side. well that girl didn't seem too impressed with peter parker, but gwen actually didn't mind him. he seemed nice. 
"well...i don't mind if people see me as uncool."
(ii.) gwen replies with a charming smile, her blue eyes lighting up. but before she could really say anything else, her guide cut off the conversation with a "we gotta go to class".

(iii.) while being dragged away, the blonde glanced back to peter, sending him a wave.
"see ya around peter!"

ooc. felt that loli. peter couldn't help the awkward, nervous grin resting on his expression. yes, he noticed the "popular" girl's current disgust with him, which confused him greatly. peter didn't know what he did to be uncool? sure he was a little nerdy but this was a school for smart people after all, nerds just like him. 
ii. still, he wouldn't show anyone how it hurt sometimes. instead, he only waved back at her as she was dragged off by the cheerleader" yeah, you too, gwen! "iii. he smiled to himself. she was really nice, you don't see that every day. his thoughts were cut off by the bell which caused peter to scramble so he wouldn't be late. 

iv. after being seated in his favorite class, chemistry, he recognized that gwen was in here. she must have the same period which was nice. sure, he hoped to speak to her again but he was way too shy to strike up another conversation. besides, she was surrounded by the clique who didn't accept him. instead, he just sat and fiddled with textbook

( i. ) it had been at least a year since the events of civil war, and yet, the memory of it was burned into the back of steve's mind. every detail, regardless if he wanted to or not.
( ii. ) that being said, of course he remembered the out of place kid from queens, the one most notable for his bright red and blue suit and his ability to somehow put up a decent fight against the super soldier himself.
( iii. ) admittedly, even though he wasn't the one to recruit him, steve felt a tinge of guilt for getting peter wrapped up in the mess that was the battle at the airport. both him and scott may have accidentally done quite the number on the poor guy.
( iv. ) he had been meaning for a while to apologize for that -- peter seemed like a nice, intelligent kid and since it was clear he had potential as a hero (and seemed fairly close to tony), cap thought he would try to get to know him a little better." hey, kid. you're the spiderman, right? "

i. it took every fiber of will-power in peter’s body to stop himself from jumping up and down like the giddy fanboy he was. i mean, this was just so cool! sure, he’s met the cap before but they were enemies then. now, they were actually going to have a conversation as equals. and hopefully friends
ii. sure, peter idolized tony stark but captain America was up there too! he’s also in a lot of videos they show at school which is strange but he didn’t mind. he also didn’t mind being beat up at the airport in the end, it was a dream come true...kind of?

ooc. before we get slapped by endgame, loli. peter didn’t exactly mean to catch the man’s eye, he was busy looking around in awe at the avenger’s hq. ever since the whole cap and mr. stark incident, peter felt that he was truly an avenger now.
ii. nonetheless, he perked up as the other started to speak to him. peter remembered him, mainly because of his arm which was really cool by the way. he was all smiles, what a nerd, when he asked about his gadgets“ spider-man, a-actually. but uh, you can call me peter, sir! ”
“ and i remember you, you’re the guy with the really cool arm! like whoa dude, that thing is tough! ”
“ oh, right. sorry, i ramble when i’m nervous o-or excited. see, i got bit by this spider and it gave me enhanced strength and senses. i just made my spiderweb gadgets at school during chemistry. and mr. stark gave me the uniform! ”iii. he grinned, feeling quite proud. even if he was just a kid, technically, he felt as if he were an equal here
