Yeah, I know what you mean. I know that art will always be a part of my life but I wonder if I should pursue it as a career. I haven't been drawing as much, I guess life sort of got in the way.

awww I'm so sorry I know exactly where you're coming from. I feel like all I have time to do anymore is just sketch things while I'm taking notes in my classes. I started as an Art major in college but that got emotionally demanding for me so I've switched to anthropology. I'm beginnign to consider theatre though because at least I could find ways to integrate art into my career. I miss my art so much.

Yeah, I know exactly how you feel. Creating art can be very emotionally demanding, I think the real pros learn how to detach themselves to a degree, I once read a great book called " The Art of War " that goes in depth into the topic. One thing that I am certain of is that I definitely only want to create art that I personally find interesting. I've also considered a switch to live action film because I enjoy being active and moving around and it incorporates my creativity. I'm certain that art will always be a part of my life but as I grow older I'm becoming more interested in things like finances and investing. If you truly love art my suggestion to you is to always keep it as a part of your life in one way or another, even if it's only a few hours a week. If all else fails you'll still have a valuable skill as a backup plan.

I've heard of that book, and I've been meaning to read it for awhile now. I'll have to do that once I have my other books out of the way. I love reading, so the list is rather huge. As time moves, I'm becoming more and more interested in the idea of switching to theatre. As much as I love anthropology, the more scientific areas of it are becoming strenuous for me and I just wanna go back to my little art world... I feel suffocated. There is no room for me to create anything in that path.
I find it interesting what you say about live film because that's why I'm so interested in the idea of theatre... I love working with other people, building, moving, manipulating things. I wanna work on big scale projects with a team, you know, and I'm sure that even if I'm not building from my own designs, Ill still feel like I'm creating something.
Maybe marketing would be a something for you to look into, if you're becoming interested in finances. Your creative insight would really benefit you in that field.
