I had the privilege of living in Firenze, Italia for a few months, and I found it an inspirational place.

Florence is a really very nice place.. I am Sicilian .. but a bit all places give inspiration..And you? Where are you from?

Sicily has a great history, and an ancient history. It must be nice to live there. I never traveled that far south, but if I ever travel back to Italia, I would be sure to explore there.
I am from Long Island, New York in America. It has old places (Early European settlements here, but they only go as far back as the 16th and 17th century. The Native American/Indian peoples must have gone back much farther, but none remain.
Personally, I prefer ancient history. It adds character to a place, like a weathered piece of beach wood.

ok, live in a place with an ancient history is definitely nice ... but Long Island has to be a nice place too.. We build, in the end, the history ... and are not just the places that conserve and preserve memories, pieces of history but also the people who feel the call to the origins and inside them retain the secret of human evolution and of their existence..
However I am happy that you appreciate Sicily and history .. In my opinion, appreciate the history is very often a sign of intelligence

XD My intelligence is not great- though I am always interested in the origins of civilizations. I read a lot of Greek and Roman history, and Sicily comes up quite a bit. I am sure you know that it features in the Peloponnesian War and the Punic wars.
A lot of western civilizations foundations were laid out in those regions.
Long Island is okay, but it has the suburbs and strip malls. Modernity can be overrated.

Surely .. you're right! It's nice to see how you (that live so far away) appreciate and know our history much more than us who live here!

We all see our surroundings as dull compared to some far off location. I think the different environment allows us to dream- plus the being in the center of the Mediterranean Sea leaves a very natural scenic landscape.

Yes, yes...this is natural .. and yes, the Mediterranean is beautiful! but also the ocean must be ... the Mediterranean is a closed sea ... Instead the Ocean should give a wonderful sense of freedom.. in short, everything and all the places offer a lot .. just know how to watch them from the right point of view

Long Island has calm waters in the north, which we call the Long Island Sound, and we have the open Atlantic Ocean in the south. It is really only on the west coast of America that you get big waves. The north shore here is my favorite, as it is more scenic- but I would not compare the scenery to Sicily (from all that I have seen on TV etc.).
Thanks for the watch. You are a talented artist, and it is an honor. I like your preference in music as well. I like Rammstein, Depeche Mode, Alice in Chains, and Nirvana especially. I am old enough to remember when most of them first came out. XD.
