# About me
Retired Motor Mechanic in 2015, and wanted to look for a new hobby. Christmas of 2015 I purchased a book " Learn to Draw in 30 Days ".I could not draw at all when I started but by the end of the book I had been bitten by the drawing bug.
A year or so later I am able to draw a portrait that people can recognise.
Then in May 2017 i thought that I would have ago at Manga and 6 months on finding it hard to draw a female face that I am happy with.
After a few months I have given up on Manga and having a go at churchs and things
Time will tell
Any comments gratefully appreciated.

Thanks for the watch. You have done some great work here...I love the churches. I have been drawing for just over 2 years after semi-retirement in the IT industry. Drawing is a bug thats once caught is hard to get rid of!

Many thanks. Did you do the same as myself and teach your self? When I retired I could not draw at all and it has been a case of learning from you tube videos and thing like that. I am now trying my hand at colour. My first 2 attempt have been a failure. Third attempt starts today.

Hi...I taught myself when I semi-retired about 2 years ago but I am now working full time again (in IT) for a bit until I can clear my mortgage.Β I always liked drawing as a kid but never really had the time with work and a family. The internet/YouTube has been a great help but I still have a long way to go! I really like some of old illustrators who used the 'Broad stroke' pencil technique such as Earnest Watson. I also love pen and ink but as I am left handed I can be a bit messy so I stick with technical pens. I am useless at colour and no little about colour theory. I have tried a couple of watercolors but find it quite difficult so I tend to use colured prencils. Good luck using colour yourself. I will watch out for the results.

What you think of my newest anime girls face?

Getting there, I think the top lashes of the eyes need to be fuller and maybeΒ loose a bit of the eye outline. I like theΒ "Yamraiha lost her top "I just think the eyes need to loose the out line.Β Blue Hair chibi girl Β looks cute.
