You can make icons for yourself but if you trace then its basically stealing.
You should read up a little on plagiarizing and it should answer your questions

Unfortunately I have to say you are not allowed to use that icon as I did it for a paying customer and you can be banned for using it as it is seen as stealing.

1. Please stop sending chain mails. They are really annoying, they spam people's pages, and they are far from true. Sorry if my reply was rude, but things like these automatically trigger my bad rude side.

2. That icon is not for you, you have to take it down or replace it with free icons like these

Or simply make your own (look up tutorials on how to make an icon)

You didn't buy it with real $$$ and the character belongs to someone else. If you want an icon made from your character, make your character and get money or points so you can commission the person.
