Well yes, it's a bad thing for Zelda's development as a girl, because living for seven long years in a transgendered body from early age, and then changing back after growing up will truly mess her up sexually, in an E-rated game no less. Then there's the implication that as a girl she only serves as a distressed damsel, and to learn to defend herself, she has to be in a male body, which is not only anti-feminist, but also gives a bad image to tomboys in general. But unfortunately some people do not seem to care about the implications that it means for the princess, as long as they have Sheik, especially as a male (like the artist whose artwork you faved), to the point of robbing Zelda's efforts to make Sheik as a separate unoriginal male. So basically, Male Sheik only means bad things for Zelda, as opposed to developing properly as a girl herself. And by faving this type of artwork, you're giving undue support to the very thing that is counterproductive to the princess.

Well, actually I'm in accord with you. Indeed, I'm a supporter of Female Sheik at 100% and even I'm part of this group too xD
But I believe some artworks about Male Sheik are also pretty good. But that doesn't mean I support the idea of Male Sheik. I think everyone has a chance to believe whatever they want to believe as long as they feel comfortable. As you're saying, yes. It's a bad thing for Zelda's development as a girl, but that ideas came since the development of the N64 Ocarina Of Time version. As you can remember the graphics on the game were more geometric and because of that, the Sheik's physical appearance tend to looked more muscled. That's when everybody thought Sheik was a male until we realize it was Zelda. Now, on the 3DS version, Sheik's appearance become more sophisticated, and as a result, the graphics turn on more polished, what makes Sheik's appearance look more delicate as the one of a girl.
As I was telling you, I guess everyone is free to think whatever they want. In this case YOU believe is a bad thing to believe Sheik is a guy, and it's ok. I mean, 'cause I believe Sheik is a girl too. But outside there, they are other people that stayed with the idea of the N64 theory I just explained you and for THEM Sheik is a guy, and it's also ok, because it's THEIR own perspective. I remember once Miyamoto said on an interview he wanted the users to use their imagination for interpret the game and create their own ideologies. Doesn't matter how much you state Sheik's a girl, because probably you're not gonna change the rest of the world's mind. I think is great that YOU have your own perspective. But mine keeps open to other people's perspectives, even if I already have my concrete thinking (that's Sheik being a girl). At least in my opinion faving Sheik Male artwork doesn't mean I'm supporting a bad thing. That's YOUR opinion, and it's fine. But they are a lot of talented artists here in Deviant Art that make such great artwork and just because you have a different perspective doesn't mean their work is not good. That's why I fave it. Not because (For the third or fourth time) I support male Sheik.
I guess everything is about tolerance on other people's thinking. At least in MY opinion is good to be open minded to that thinkings that differ from yours, and that doesn't mean you're going to change your perspective. Of course, at the end, is totally up to you if you decide to change it, but no one is telling you to do so. And the fact of saying I'm a supporter of Female Sheik at 100%, doesn't mean I have say Male Sheik support is a bad thing. Because for someone else is ok, such as I believe Sheik being a girl is ok. But, again, it varies in each on of us perspectives. And just if you doubt about it, I have ALWAYS believed Sheik a female and I will ALWAYS believe so.

Sorry, but I don't believe you on the 100% part because despite your support, you also seem to favor the opposition despite the bad implications that it means for Zelda, just because you find the drawings "pretty". I'm sorry, but I didn't make my artwork to be faved by people who don't care enough about the princess. Hope you understand.
