Okay, I just took a look through your gallery. WOW! Your stuff is absolutely amazing! So thank you so much. I mean I'm just starting to get the hang of digital art so the compliment means a lot. Have a wonderful day you.

I love noname! What zoo is he at? Is it rather strange that he loves to watch people, or is that normal behavior?
We have a Komodo dragon at the John Ball Zoo in Grand Rapids, MI. I'll have to post some photos of him sometime.

NoName is a resident at the Pittsburgh Zoo and PPG Aquarium. He will be 16 on the 31st.
I don't believe watching people is a strange behavior. He is a carnivore. Watching the herd for the weak or slow is something natural for him to do. What's strange is the color neon orange seems to attract his attention more then other colors, especially when something of that color moves.
I would love to see pictures of your komodo as well.

I see. I was probably drawing a wrong conclusion on your choice of words, "Brilliant boy. loves to watch you." I had formulated this picture in my head that NoName prefers to sit by the glass and watch the daily commotion passing by his exhibit. Kind of the same way cats will sit in a window and watch everything occurring outside.
Sadly, that wasn't the case with our Komodo. They didn't give him any "hidey-holes" for when he got stressed out from too many visitors, and so he became very withdrawn; even to trying to at least hide his head under a log to give himself the illusion that the humans couldn't see him. Poor guy. I really felt sorry for him.
Recently the zoo built an outdoor summer exhibit for him. I hope to stop by in a couple weeks and if he's still in it I'm going to take some pictures.
I uploaded a few photos of "Precious," our Komodo dragon at the John Ball Zoo in Grand Rapids, MI. He's one of the first successful hatchlings from the Washington Zoo's breeding program back in the '90s, and was featured in a TV interview on a CBS morning program.

I have a very nice portrait shot of Precious, but it's buried in an archive somewhere. I'll load it when I find it.
