o hey! awesome, sorry I dint back to you sooner but i was in training for the last 3 months... don't know what you ended up getting but I have a Panasonic DMC FZ35 and I love it to death... absolutely amazing zoom on it. It takes beautiful pictures and HD video... I got a vid of the last nighttime shuttle launch that is simply amazing... everytime I go back and watch it I remember exactly what it was like that night

i ended up getting a sony cybershot. i love this little camera. its simply amazing. have you ever visited ireland? any places you suggest i could take awesome photos?

Never been to Ireland... yet, it is on the ever growing list. I would think nearly anywhere you pointed would be a good shot from what I have heard but I have a fascination with going to visit northwest Ireland, Donegal, where the culture has been able to remain mostly intact from the older days. A ton of other places I can think of that I have read about but I am sure you know most of them.

i am going to dublin (for the historical places), cork (for blarney castle and drombeg circle)
about 5 days in Kerry (killarney national park, gap of dunloe, skellig michael), then on to galway for 3 days for the cliffs of moher, ancestry, and if we can fit it, connemara national park.

i am so excited. i will be having a snap fest hehe.
we are also going to be there during saint patty's day!!
