(We get spiders the size of your hands where I live. They're called Brown Recluse. I had one get in my house once- chased it down with a can of hair spray until it couldn't move then pounded it to death with a broom.-and I'm afraid of spiders!

Oh really? Well a few of us fellow sharpie artists have been speculating the health factors, with one person finding websites saying doing sharpie skin art could cause Cancer?!
Don't know if they are true or not but I'm asking if you have heard about this? Or not worried?

I don't think it's anything to be worried about. I think that it's probably not the best thing for your skin, but getting real tattoos--injecting ink UNDER your skin--to my knowlege hasn't given anyone cancer. I think we all just hear "don't draw on yourself" so many times growing up, and it's repeated by so many different people, that we all believe it's true...even if it may not. I think it's mostly hype...And I've never had any skin problems from drawing on my arms, and I've been doing it for years, with many different kinds of markers. I know that they are making a kind of gel ink pen that can work well for drawing on skin (I think they sell kits at target, etc)...I didn't find it to work as well...but it could be a good alternative. Hmm. I think I'll try and see if I can look around the web for anything about it though.

I had an opportunity to check out your stuff and I must say most impressive. You have a unique eye for tribal and other designs that you have created could also be used for the epidermal canvas. I say giggidy unto you. Keep up the good work. Oh and don't feel bad about people not reading your journal, occasionally it shall be read so continue to put your thoughts down and i'll read them hows that sound?

thank you so much. Makes me really happy. i should have some more time on my hands to concentrate on devyart and my own art work some more. The whole tribal thing was sparked off by my family trip to new zealand and a boring math lesson ( i doodled tribal on the whole back of my hand!) I plan to go back to new zealand eventually so I will get some new ideas.
