Just wanted to drop in and say that I'm digging your work. I really like the way that you play up the bold sketchiness of the lines in some of your pieces. But I also just enjoy the overall vibe, a good mash of cute and sexy.

You're far too kind. It really depends on the piece, but sometimes when I try to clean up my sketches for lineart, it takes out a lot of life out of the piece. As much as I'd love to make clean lineart it just looks better for my work sadly >.<

I think there are a lot of philosophies one can espouse when making art. One that a lot of people go for is essentially as follows, that an artist has a vision in their head, and does their best to render it perfectly. Sometimes that's hyper-realism, sometimes it's just clean lines, or any of a hundred things in between. If you can make it work it looks nice, but sometimes it's kind of boring too, especially if it looks too nice.
But another way of doing things is to take a shot at bringing that vision out of your head, and when it doesn't come out perfect instead of fighting that you take advantage of it. You play up the weaknesses and turn them into strengths, turn them into a style.
Ideally there's a balance between these two ways of making things, they look nice, but they also emphasize style over simple polish. I guess that's what I like about the sketchy lines, you've taken this thing which could've made your work weaker, and instead of fighting or succumbing to them, you've used them to make it stronger, more stylish and unique. And I for one find that very appealing.
