I'm in Oregon! I've been in Oregon for about 4-5 days now, and I'll be spending the night in the apartment tomorrow night and going to my Orientation on Monday from there. >8D And then visiting a friend in Salem. And quite possibly coming back to Eugene to spend 4th of July with my friend that I've been staying with here in Eugene and her family. Buuuusy week is busy, but I'm soooo excited! I went to Portland the other day and got the apartment details all set up, met my roomie, took a tour of WCI, got fitted for my uniform, and all that lovely stuff! Even took care of something I needed to take care of at orientation, so I have time to be doing a few other things on monday~

apartment searching can be pretty bad without guidance, yeah. :/ I wish you luck in that! Keep me updated! The apartment I'm living in is in a reeeeeally nice area, and the apartment is really nice, too. :3

In any case, I made it to Oregon in one piece, safe and sound, and I'm doing really well! It's been so much fun, and I'm so ready to get to school and start my classes!

Sounds like you've had a busy few days, huh? How's Oregon anyways?

As for the apartment, I have found one. It's in a place near the school and is called Studio Green. It looks like a nice place, but I wouldn't be up there until July 31st for Orientation.

Right now, I'm just hanging out here at home, working on some art and Im now a member of a scanlating group that puts up a manga called Record of a Fallen Vampire. I'm trying to send the main editor the chapter pages that I've finished, but Yahoo's being a butthead and won't let me upload the .zip file I created because it's too big.

Also, I know you taught me the basics of Photoshop, but do you know anything about using the clone stamp and getting a white "stroke" in text? The scanlating group wanted me to use those but I had some difficulty with them both, so I had to send the editor the difficult pages. She's probably going to be mad with the amount of emails I'm sending her, but I have no choice...

How's your roomie? What's she like? What do the uniforms look like?

I had my final in public speaking yesterday, and I think I did okay on it. Even if I didn't, I'm sure I'm passing the class. So that's good. :3 Hopefully I can get financial aid when I get ready to go back to school again~

I have Friday off! So as far as I know, I'm coming to see you graduate! I'll be there! With a pretty dress on. :3

Yay! You replied! I was afraid at first since you hadn't responded yet. But I'm sure you did good on your final. Was it a speech or an actual test like I had to take last fall?
Double yay! You have Friday off! I'll look for you and Jen in the crowd tomorrow night. Just make sure that you arrived before 6pm. (that's when grad. begins) and get a good seat. If you want, just look for my family, I'm sure that they wouldn't mind you and Jen sitting near them. I still need to talk to Jenni about tomorrow. I don't know if she can (or wants to) come.
I finished my last final (out of two, Mr. Ayers didn't give his classes them) today in Music Appreciation. Yesterday, I took my World Civ. final. I checked earlier today and I'm happy to say that I passed all my classes with flying colors.:3 Yay once more!
As for a celebration, I don't know. I don't have much money at the moment, so we might have to hold off for a bit. Besides, I don't want you guys to go all out for me since everyone is a money pinch. How 'bout later??
And I wanted to let you know, that you have gained another fan of Vocaloid well, at least for the Kagamine twins. After hearing Kokoro at your apartment, I got curious and surfed on the net and listened to more by them. Most I like, some (I think fanmade) are a little robotic sounding but most still good. Just wanted to let you know so that we could fangirl about it later.

Eeeee! Kagamine twins are so awesome. XD I have such a huuuge love for most, if not all, of the official vocaloids and some of the fanmade and UTAUloids, too, but Kagamine twins are amaaaazing~~ ♥ I WIN. -shot-

Anyway, I'm going to TRY to get there by 6 if I can. I've gotta go get Tara, we've gotta ask for permission for me to kidnap her tonight, then she's gotta pack at the speed of light, wear something nice, and I'm discussing with Jenni on the best way to get to her, so that she can come along too. She wants to come, but she needs a ride. I offered, but with me getting Tara as well, it miiiight be a bit tight. We're definitely going to be there, but we might be a tad bit late.

So far, the only two I like are the Kagamine twins, Miku and Gaku are okay, but the videos that I've looked at lately make me see Meiko and Kaito as a little robotic sounding. Of course, I know that's because both used the Vocaloid 1 program versus the Vocaloid 2 program that started with Len/Rin. I still haven't decided who out of the pair I like more, Len or Rin.... Right now it's a tie, I like Rin for her cute voice but like Len for his personality. Even though the Vocaloid manga (Hatsune Mix) is really odd (not to mention random) it was the reason why I started to like Len for his "sensitive" nature vs. his sister's more assertive one especially in Chapter 3. Which one do you like better?

As for Jenni, I didn't know she needed a ride, but I don't think I can offer her one this short of notice and I think my family and I are taking one car together so there wouldn't be no seats. Can her Mom take her? Or boyfriend?

Right now, my Mom's mad at me because she didn't ask me if I wanted to do any thing for my graduation. She just assumed to group it with Mother's Day and my grandparent's anniversersy. (Which I don't know why we have to group because they're all special days). So that made me mad. I just want a nice dinner (nothing too expensive just Pizza Hut pizza.) after my graduation but she just wanted to do Subway because she's on a diet! Then she pretty much said that this graduation wasn't as "special" as my HS one or the eventual one from FSU since I was only getting my AA. Oooo...that makes me mad, she doesn't even have an AA. Am I wrong to be mad at her for this? Is she the one being selfish or am I? Sorry. I'll stop I just needed to vent and there's no one else here besides me, Mom, Mickey, and Tiger and the last two don't count.

Anyways, I'll see you tonight. Pardon my spelling. I'm too lazy to look anything up. Bye.

Not much happening. Just working on my art and looking for another job to make up for my lost hours at school. Tomorrow I have an interview at Sear's so wish me luck! As you can tell by some of my recent submissions, that I have made some progress on my story (the one with Arpeggio). I hope to have some pages done before JACON so that I can get some reviews in the Comic Making panel.
Oh, you don't have to worry about the thing about my Mom. It was a misunderstanding. I thought she wasn't planning on celebrating it, but ended up giving me a keepsake box and FSU shirt. The gifts made me feel happy and regret what I thought/said about her. But I think she understands the issue since she hasn't brought it up and she was in a good mood after the graduation compared to earlier that day. She is a little sore about me not tanning, but I really don't want to since I really think that beauty is truly skin deep and I can shine in other ways other than artifically tanned skin. But anyways, its over, so that's good.
I didn't know you liked Kaito, I haven't listened to many of his songs but he was funny in the manga. Especially the part where the Vocaloid's producer says that they can't afford a live gig 'cause Kaito spent all the money on crates of ice cream. That part was classic. Still like Rin and Len, that won't change until I find another Vocaloid (or set of them) that can amaze me like them.
I'm sorry that you and Jen had a fight, but you're not going to let one incident split up your friendship, right? I'm sure that you both caught each other at bad times to talk about that besides it was super hot that night, I wouldn't blame anyone to be in a sore mood. I really wouldn't want you guys to break up a good friendship. Isn't there any way to fix it??

I'll tell you how the interview goes. Hopefully, it'll go well because my Mom suggested to me to tell them that I can work right now, but I have to leave next week (Memorial Day Weekend, didn't realize that) because of JACON. I hope they will hire me even though that little issue, but I can't back out now due to the non-refundable ticket and that I want to go.
Good luck with your job hunt, too! What places are you applying to?
And, please try to work out things with Jen. It would really suck to see you guys mad at each other due to one argument and have you both unfriendly to each other at our get-togethers.

I had my interview with Sear's last week. Don't know how it went. They asked me questions that I didn't prepare for like performance goals and stuff. My Mom said that they are normal questions, but I've never been asked those before despite all the interviews I have been to. Hopefully, if they hire me, I will hear by the middel of this week for a second interview. So cross your fingers.

I also had a question on my tablet and Photoshop. I posted on my last journal but I didn't hit the reply button, so you probably didn't get it. Any suggestions for this tablet issue?

Hee, Vocaloid 2 started with Miku, which explains her popularity and explains why the Kagamine twins have a rant song. xD I love all of the Vocaloids, and have a huuuge soft spot for Kaito, that dork, but if we're talking the twins? I'll have to go for Len, too. As much as I adore Rin, Len just kinda steals me. xD

Mn, I don't blame you for being kinda mad at your mom for thinking that this graduation isn't special. :/ I mean, SERIOUSLY. There are a lot of people who don't even MAKE IT to high school graduation, and a lot of people who can't afford for a COLLEGE graduation, much less 2 of them. You're accomplishing a lot in your life, Jackie, and yeah, I don't blame you for being mad at your mom over something like this. Seriously. It's not something that happens often in someone's life, and in a lot of cases, there are people who might never have a college graduation due to money issues and whatnot. Especially in an economy like this. The fact that you're graduating and moving on with all of this is BIG. Duuuh, it deserves a celebration. I still say we should do something, but ... y'know me, I'm not really that great at getting things together. xD;

Meh, I think I may have gotten into an argument with Jen at your graduation. :/ When we were getting ready to leave and all. I really don't know what to think of her anymore ... just, something she said to me before we parted. I can explain in more detail if you're really interested, but ... grah. I don't think she believes I can stay on my own, let's put it that way. I don't know if she really supports me at all with this, and it hurts, more than anything. We've been best friends and supporting each other for years, and ... yeah, I'll just shut up now.
