It's always been hard for me to write about myself. I was born and raised in Vass, North Carolina. I moved to San Antonio, Texas during my high school years. I currently live in Burien, Washington. I'm funny, sometimes quiet, shy, sensitive, extremely stubborn, and a huge procrastinator. I love meeting new people, i love school and I love my independence. I love my mother for everything she has done for me; she's like a best friend to me and has always been there for me through thick and thin, I could never ask for a better mother. I'm currently studying to become an RN. I still have ways to go, but I'm determined to never give up so I can become the person I've always wanted to be; saving lives. Photography is something I do on the side. I love taking pictures that catch my eye and I know I'm good at it.I'm the kind of person who expects too much from myself and perhaps put too much on my shoulders than what I can handle. I don't like shortcuts in life, which is why I do everything step by step. I am proud of my mistakes, because without them, I wouldn't be the person who I am today, nor would I have learned anything. I don't take anything or anyone for granted. I love my life the way it is right now.

And about ubuntu, I used to work with it, but lately I've only been using it as a backup-system since it's not able to run all my programs

there is a way to run some windows programs on ubuntu. i had trouble with that too..but my bf figured it out somehow and he said something about 'executing the executable' whatever that means...next time i talk to him about it, i'll ask him how he did it, and i'll tell you. i actually run both ubuntu and windows xp at the same time....it doesn't slow your computer, well it doesn't mine anyway...it's fun to be on 2 operating systems at the same time.

Yeah I know how to run several programs on ubuntu, but it's just too much whining about for nothing while I can use windows with ease. I've tweaked my windows so much, some people don't even recognize it
Ubuntu and windows at the same time, I think that'll slow my system down a lot. Maybe when I have my new laptop I'll try it
I 've tried Ubuntu, Kubuntu, MAC OS X (on my windows system) and blackbox (a shell replacement for windows so you really wouldn't tell it's windows). I liked blackbox a lot, but it slowed my system down and I'm all about speed

ohh i haven't gotten around to tweak my windows yet..i'm not sure what i wanna do to it. i really would like a batman theme..or the joker. it's really nerdy..but...oh well. all i have right now is a simple joker backround. and just move around my icons.
i have never tried blackbox, i'll have to look into that. haha i'm all about speed as well, if it takes more than 2 seconds to load, it's too slow for me. my bf made my computer to where it's zip fast, doesn't even have to think.
what kind of laptop are you planning to get? please don't tell me it's that new imac. >_<

Well, you really need to get used to blackbox. But I really haven't tweaked the theme of my windows, but all sorts of programs that enhance and speed up all sorts of things ^^
I was thinking about the mac, but I think I am going for windows machine, Dell has some nice offers, or the special of HP

ah yes. it's all about getting use to it...it took me some time to get use to ubuntu. but i think there are other linuxes that take more skill to use...perhaps?
i like macs as well, it's just so many people get them because they think they're cool to have..when really it's more to it than that, you know?? a lot of people don't understand or don't know much about mac.
i personally love the old technology...i really don't know why. it just fascinates me.
my bf almost barely got ubuntu on an old satelite laptop...aaaamazing.
but i don't think it could handle it.

And I agree with you that most people get them to be cool, a mate of mine has a mac but he really has it because he uses it for it's functions.

Still not completely shure about that, but you can click on "watch this deviant" on my userpage, and on the page you get after that mark the button beneath friends. I think it works that way ^^

ahhhh i figured it out. =]...you go to the top right corner where there's a flyout that says 'friends'...on the bottom left corner where it says 'add/remove'....to add someone, you have to type their username...so in your case it would be 'J-Dev'... =]
