i'm not new too da nor am i a new artist; i just rejoined da and just waiting on my new tablet. but i want you too know something. . . .
i want you too know that you have been one of few artists that i absolutely admire and actually helped inspire me too go back too being an artist. i had been an artist since i was a child and the darkness of the world did consume me for quite some time--i went with the punches, i did commissioned work for a year and then just stopped all together.
you are so special; your art speaks louder than words and it impacts me on such a deeply emotional level as i had struggled with so many issues concerning my childhood, lack thereof. thank you--thank you so much for simply being alive and creating such fantastic artwork. i feel so honored too have found you. β₯

i have mixed feeling about it really
as a story arc for lemonhope it was great, i like the way it dealt with him as a character, his motivations and stuff
but i also feel like lemongrab's development was swept under the rug just for the sake of that
it was necessary for lemongrab to be seen as this awful oppressor in order to further lemonhope's story, but it really diminishes lemongrab's previous development
because while he was introduced as a villain, it was obvious this wasn't because of malicious intent on his part, but a result of his poor social skills and loneliness, which i would partially put down Β to princess bubblegum neglecting him in the first place
i don't have a problem with him becoming a villain, but the stereotypical and one sided way that was presented felt untruthful to his character, and a bit poorly explained (given it seemed to come out of nowhere)
plus having both lemongrabs sewn together at the end felt a whole lot like it was an easy way to return to the "status quo" as if they didn't know how to properly resolve his arc
it doesn't solve lemongrab's problems, it just puts him back at square one
i wish his character development been given a bit more care, but i'm probably biased just because i identify with him so much
