Actually, I got more than one.

If Batman, after he went through a series of events, killed the Joker in the Batmobile (while it automatically headed to a parking space near the Gotham City Police Station), unmasked himself inside it and then turned himself in, how would the Gotham police react? Where would the Gotham City police detain Batman? Who would Bruce Wayne (Batman) talk to on the phone after being contained in a cell by Gotham's Finest? What would the Bat Family’s reactions be if they knew that the Dark Knight himself had murdered the Clown Prince of Crime? When would the word get out that Batman, THE Batman, murdered Joker, revealed his secret identity and gave himself up to the police in the criminal underworld of Gotham? How would the villains react after knowing about those certain events that occured? Would any of the Bat Clan members survive from the fallout caused by Bruce’s actions? Could anyone else in the vigilante’s life survive from the whole ordeal too? And of course, how much impact would the big news effect not only the everyday Gothamites, but everyone else around the globe?

Note: This event can take place in almost any DC universe (from the Pre-Flashpoint 'verse, to the Post-Flashpoint U, etc).

Well first off it would have to be something BIG to finally push Batman over that edge. Maybe the death of a major loved one like Selina or even Commissioner Gordon or someone really impacting like that. Just make sure the reason for him finally killing Joker would be understandable if a bit extreme.

Second the police would of course be shocked to find out that Batman is just turning himself in and more surprised that it's Bruce Wayne. They'd probably put him the most secure cell they could find for the time being but of course Batman wouldn't and probably shouldn't fight back. After that he should call whoever he feels he needs to apologize to the most, either Alfred or Dick or whoever is still around; maybe even Selina if she wasn't killed off.

Obviously everyone in the family would be shocked. Depending on what the Joker did would have to be the thing that even they would be surprised pushed Batman this far. They'd likely have a meeting somewhere secure like the Clock Tower and try to figure out what to do. Would they try to break Bruce out? Would they just have to move on? Would someone need to be the new Batman?

The news of Bruce Wayne being Batman would hit fast. I'd say within an hour it was released to the public everyone would know; especially all the villains. Some who probably knew Bruce Wayne better, like Two-Face or Penguin, would be more shocked than others. Obviously most would want revenge and others would think to try and target someone like Alfred as a means of set revenge.

Again it depends on what you think should happen with the Joker that decides who's alive and who's not. Maybe most of the family is left or maybe half of them or more are dead. And, again, I can see most still trying to fight the good fight; though some might move out of Gotham for their own sake and/or safety. I think another thing to consider is Lucius Fox and how Wayne Enterprises would be effected by this sudden revelation as well.

Finally the overall world reaction would likely be just as effected. Former lovers of Bruce would be surprised. Many would likely know Batman just from the Justice League alone and be shocked to find out it's Bruce Wayne. I can see those like Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern and so forth being shocked by what he did and how he just gave himself up so quickly. Some would probably try to visit as well.

Really it just comes down to what you want to do and what you want to cover. Part of AU stories is you have a little bit more freedom to do it in

DC AU Questions: If David Cain had caught his daughter, Cassandra Cain, before she could run away and was forced to stay with him, even during her teens, would it result in Cass ending up being a cold blooded killer like her 'dear ol' dad? Would she, alongside her father, had faced off against Batman and his allies eventually? Finally, to end things off here, would she had ever found out who her mom is?

That's a little hard to say. Obviously she didn't want to be which is why she ran in the first place. Even if he caught her it's not as though he could force her to kill if she didn't want to. At the same time he could have done something to her or constantly tried to persuade her or something that would have made her turn like he wanted. Not sure if they would have ever faced off with Batman but it's a possibility. Same thing could be said about her mother, it's really a matter of chance at that point.

DC AU Question: If Batman/Bruce and Robin/Dick didn't split up (which resulted in the Boy Wonder sticking to Gotham and helping the Dark Knight more there and helping out the Titans less), how would things go for him, Batman, their city and the Titans if that turn of events happened?

Note: This scenario would had happened during Robin's later years as Robin and it could take place in any DC canon.

I think for one the relationship between the two would need to be different. In some cases Dick left because he wanted to be his own hero and now just known as Batman's sidekick. I think if that was the case that they didn't split up it would be because Batman allowed him more freedom; maybe even letting "graduate" to the title of Nightwing; or whatever hero name he might take. I think in that regard Batman would have more trust in him to take care of the city when he couldn't, like if he had a more pressing issue to handle as Bruce Wayne. Maybe something where Nightwing would handle some night or certain areas of the city while Batman handled the rest; along with Batgirl in the mix if she's present.

In terms of the Titans that's another hard one to decide since the original Titans were all sidekicks. I'd imagine Robin still hanging out with guys like Speedy, Kid Flash and Wonder Girl, but if they all joined a team and he didn't I suppose the closest leader would be either Speedy or Wonder Girl; the former being closer to the same sort of hero Robin is while the latter has a more level-headed approach to issues. Later on down the line as the other members of the Titans would form I guess it's clear Nightwing wouldn't be among the ranks if he didn't want to leave Gotham. Not unless he was offered a spot on the team and, if he accepted, maybe would start to see the need for someone like him in the group.

DC AU Questions: Could Red Hood (Jason Todd) become a better hero AND a better person if he was captured by Batman, sent to the Titans (that included Nightwing, Troia, Red Arrow, Flash III, Tempest, Cyborg, Starfire, Raven and Beast Boy) and forcibly became a probationary member of that team so they can get him there? Could Nightwing, Troia, Red Arrow, Flash, Tempest, Cyborg, Starfire, Raven and Beast Boy successfully teach Red Hood self restraint (when it comes to who he's going to punch and how he'll go about it), compassion (towards everyone...even villains), trust (whether it's taking a chance in trusting other people or vice versa with him earning any of it himself), reliability (becoming dependable to everyone), wisdom (a virtue Todd can use to do approach situations wisely), rationality (concerning any actions he might want to take and the actions of others), love (in how to gain it and how to display it with other people), patience (with others as well as himself) and joy (finding someway to be happy despite everything that's happened)?

Note: This scenario would happen in the Post-Infinite Crisis/Pre-Flashpoint DC Universe and the Titans there are the 2008 incarnation of the group (not to be confused with the other Titans group, the Teen Titans, that was still active at the time).

In all honesty I don't think anything would change even if he was sent to be with the Titans. Given how Red Hood at the time had resentments with Batman and was so willing to kill I think Batman, if he managed to capture him, would try to help him on his own before trying to send him to be with another team; especially one with Dick Grayson since they'd both hold some sort of resentment with each other. Granted, I could see a scenario where Red Hood encounters the Titans and possibly interacts with them. Obviously Nightwing would be hesitate about it, guys like Red Arrow and Troia might try to vouch for him since knowing he used to be a Robin meant he can't be all bad, maybe he tries to flirt with Starfire and comment how Grayson has 'good tastes', there could even be a moment between him and Raven where she senses there might be some good in him.

Basically I don't think Jason Tood would be willing to learn much from Batman or the Titans, but I do think the interactions with them would be a much more interesting story.

DC AU Questions: What if, after witnessing the Joker manipulated Superman into killing his wife, unborn child and everyone in Metropolis (as well as destroying the city), Batman decided to hold the Clown Prince of Crime inside a VERY indestructible glass cell inside the Bat Cave until his death (and he was allowed to place him there) and the Dark Knight and the rest of the Bat Family had to take turns watching the man constantly, would they succeeded in keeping the Clown Prince inside the cell? Especially with a raging Superman around? If they did, how would things be for the Bat Family whenever each of them have to guard over the green haired evil doer and interrogating him on who gave him the nuke? If they didn't, would things get worse from here on out for the Fam'?


Note: This scenario would take place in one of the Injustice Universes (the Regime Universe).

I think that would be drastic even for Batman to consider. Sure, it keeps Joker safe and keeps Superman from killing him, but it's still a little inhumane and even Batman knows he can't stoop to the Joker's level. But disregarding that if he did do it that might actually cause more problems between him and Superman. You could already tell that he would stop at nothing to find and kill Joker, even going to Batman and asking why he hasn't caught him. Eventually he might start to put two-and-two together and then start his war again Batman without him having support from the eventual Insurgence members.

Including that if each member of the family kept an eye on Joker needless to say tension would grow there. One of them might slip up or give something away or if someone like Damien got to mad enough that he let him out to fight him and the Joker pulled a fast one he'd then be free in the Batcave and Wayne Manor. So basically I'd see it as a bad plan that Batman probably wouldn't go through.
