eek i'm so sorry for the late reply!! i haven't checked on my dA for a long time! you should definitely hold the contest for a new icon! haha i just threw in a photo i took a long time ago lol i'm gonna be sending u and some other contributors notes regarding some changes that's gonna be made to da club page. so keep an eye out for dat! ^_^ thanks for helpin out so much! haha we gotta hold a devmeet one of these days sorta like a meet and greet of the artists in da group especially for all da contributors u guys have all been a huge help for me lol i think i'm da only one running da page now..lol so ya i'll send u guys a note filling u in bout some changes since i guess its just gonna me running da club i'm gonna need some help from da rest of da contributors.

haha np =] i've been ok..i'm thinkin of goin into art...that was ur major right? how's ur career in art goin? u went to like portland or sumtn? i forget which school u went but was one art school ya? and u wer already pro to begin with haha but how is like bein an art student? my parents aren't very thrilled of me switchin to go into art or even music...they want me to have a "real" career...watever their definition of "real career" is...

pssh, art is a career! hello commercials? and ads and all that? graphic design is a big thing. How do they think companies get people to buy things? art stuff.
Anyway yeah I went to Portland, OR for school and went into Media Arts and Animation. I'm doing okay, I'm doing freelance design right now. It's sucks cuz you gotta keep looking for clients if they only come for a one time project and the economy sucks so it's hard to find work and people willing to pay for art. especially when they think it should be cheap when it isn't. Damn people who try to rip artist off.
But yeah what kind of art are you going into? graphic design which is more like design and probably has more job openings especially in web design. Illustrations is a tough business, you gotta be kick ass and know how to advertise yourself. which i kinda suck at cuz i'm not very social. but yeah they should be supportive in whatever you chose. Art is awesome like that and is totally a real career it's just that sometimes you need to sell yourself and do something that can get you a job like 3d animation or modeling while doing your other stuff on the side that you hope will be big and feed your bank account so you can go do that instead of stare at a computer till your eyeballs bleed.
