Missingno. is a pixelated mash-up of countless Pokémon spirits, most of which were abused or abandoned by Trainers in their lifetimes, who likes to swim deep under the surface of the water along the coast of Cinnabar Island. They can be caught, but they will put up one hell of a fight, and if you do catch them, they will bring chaos and confusion to you and your surroundings with the force of their anger. At times, they enjoy making others suffer as their spirits did when they were alive, and can teleport and change their shape whenever they want. If you treat them kindly, they will tolerate you in return, but let's just say it's not wise to get on their bad side.
On the other hand, they can be genuinely cheerful and playful, especially around young wild Pokémon, and help Trainers, leaving items inside Pokéballs for them to find and leading wild Pokémon to them (but only if they know they're a kind, trustworthy Trainer and not an abusive one). They sometimes hide in trees and caves, watching the bad guys get vanquished and the good guys succeed on their journeys through the region. Recently, this side of them is being seen less and less, so watch out.

Meganium is wandering around outside a dark forest. His friend Leafeon lives nearby, and they're meeting up for a festival. he pauses for a rest by a lone tree standing apart from the others. It is tall and strong, not unlike Meganium himself, and has a rich hue to it's leaves. He pauses to wonder how Crocanaw and Typhlosion are, he hasn't seen them for ages, in fact not since he and his trainer had parted ways. Last he saw her, Crocanaw was adamantly refusing to evolve further, and so he had got her an everstone for his parting gift. He had also given Typhlosion a piece of charcoal, as she desired power in much the same way as Meganium, who kept a miracle seed. Feeling rested, and having eaten a rawst berry, Meganium picks himself up and prepares to head out, looking at the forest as he does so. He must get around to visiting Parasect and Bulbasaur soon, they live out there...

when ketsuban had gone out to collect berries, they hadn't expected to find a meganium in their makeshift den when they got back. needless to say, they weren't happy to see him.

Meganium froze, and not just the status effect. Countless hours of training were beginning to kick in as he started analyzing the potential foes.
"Ice type Pokemon, unlikely in this environment. Water type Pokemon with ice variant abilities... no Seel migrations at this time of year. Ghost type possibility, low. Conclusion..." Meganium shudders. "Pokemon NX-00, variant unknown." Meganium turns slowly to face the threat. "Common name: Missingno. Generally Water-Bird typing, similar traits to both Ghost and Psychic types. Missingno is said to cause illusions and distortions around any who bare witness to it. Variation 1, logical strategy, close eyes and run for Pete's sakes." The conclusion may be logical, but to enact it, there would have to be a route to run to.

The Meganium continues to stare at the floor
"Years of training, all of my last trainer's Pokemon had to memorize the national and regional Pokedex, along with strategic information of every creature." Meganium continues to analyse the situation. Available moves that would be effective? Pseudo could be of effect, moves Counter or Rock Smash have 2x effectiveness. No, Pseudo makes moves normal type, 1x effectiveness. Solar beam has higher power. No, move requires set-up and would be obvious. Bodyslam? no, physical moves would be a bad move. Talk, that's the logical way to go. "Have you been here long? Legendary, mythical and mirage pokemon tend to move around a bit."
