I find eclipse a bit confusing, but a site layout overhaul isn't like... the worst thing in the world if it was done right : x My only true beef with eclipse is that a large portion it isn't even coded/live for the rest of the site, beyond profiles and front page. groups and the submission page, for example, are still on the old layout even when using eclipse. eclipse is mandatory for all new deviantart accounts (i have one here KiriLog that eclipse is on) so having like... half of the site (and its most important feature, submission) uncoded/on old layout is a massive oversight on the staff's part. and profiles are messy and uncustomizable. xD
so yeah, if it was any old layout change I probably wouldn't care. but it's mandatory while being grossly unfinished. i don't like the look of eclipse and I think they could have done better, but i could get over it if it wasn't... half assed i guess xD
