thanks for the fav. Your scratchboards are really impressive. Do you know of Marco Elliot? He published a book on scratchboard in France called "Secrets de la Carte a Gratter". He was my high school art teacher, and some of the pieces you have look like the ones he tried to get us to do in class. Nicely done!

Where do you get your boards? I have never found any bigger then 8x10 anywhere (except for that crappy scratch paper). And you have to tell me about the coloring you've done!

why thankyou very much. The boards are ampersand clayboard blacks. There are two stores here in Savannah that I can buy them from but seeing as how your not from here... search for ampersand clayboards at [link] its the cheapest for them on line. They're really expensive though. and the coloring was done with special clayboard inks on little orphan annie but for chamson i used diluted dr.martin's inks, watercolors can also be used but you have to spray the board with fixative first so that the ink from the board doesnt come off with the water and mix into the colors. but its a whole lot easier just to do inks.
