uh it was cold... and snowy... and really windy.. about 7 knappers were left, all the rest left for home the day that i got there. guh.. i got to spend time with this one cool family there though, they had a TP and i ate breakfast with them! i hauled back about 100 pounds of obsidian and found the fire pits.
so overall it was worth going for me but other people probably wouldn't have had a very good time at all. I'm not one to complain, it was a nice relaxing (albeit cold) weekend.

Wow... at least you left with some stone. What did you manage to get from the fire pits? Yeah, that's sort of why I'm planning on waiting until the weather gets better. Thanks for the update!

i got about 40 pounds of fire obsidian.. which is nice. someone in a rock shop up here.. her eyes bugged out when i told her.. so i figure theres a good possibility that i can make some gass money back! haha
i think i might head down again soon, i'd like to get half a tonne but.. i dunno if that will happen! haha.. oh PS i put out a flint knapping video series: [link]

The knapping videos are great! And I'm a bit jealous about the fire obsidian. haha. Let me know when you're planning on heading out there. I'd like to finally make it out there myself.

hey there sorry its been a while... i kinda forgot about this site for a couple of months. xP
hmm im away for ths whole summer but ill let you know when i'm heading down. i might in september but i doubt it. gonna have a pretty heavy college term comming up. well ill keep in touch and let you know though.
