So your heart's breaking then? Mine did by the time I was just a quarter of the way through Mockingjay. I hope you do read the PJO series and the Heroes of Olympus series that follows it. They have some great characters and the idea as a whole is really great. You'll get sucked in really quickly.

I see a lot of Fanart of it lately, and concpet also seems good, still I just loved Harry's books, and adored Hunger Books, and people who like that books often like Percy, so I guess me too.
And yes, I find Mockingjay cool so far, that entire fire ctachign stuff and bombing of hospital

My favourite character? That's really hard actually. I guess I really just love them all so, so much but Katniss and Peeta top it. Their development over the course of the books was fantastic and I grew to love them for their strengths and their faults.

Hmmm... I dislike Peeta, he's dreamily annoying... I prefer Gale, but still, he moves a bit plainer as we get to know him... hmm... I really don't think anyone fits to Katniss, I just cannot pair anatagonists in any books

I'd say Peeta is more like the shining light in the coal mine of District 12. He's oddly kind when a lot of merchants' children are arrogant and self-focused. He's optimistic, he cares. He tries to be so much for Katniss and starts believing that he has her love in return but finds out it's a folly. That's a lot for a character, and you can see how it haunts him through Catching Fire. You can also see how her betrayal of his feelings could lead him to be brainwashed more easily during the lapse between Catching Fire and Mockingjay. He's an interesting character to pick apart and study.
Whereas Gale for me, I'm not a fan of. He's really callous and untouchable. Where Katniss had her faults and slowly confronted them through the arc of the novels, Gale more or less remained in the same place. His traps that he helped design for District 13 led to the destruction of the only thing in Katniss' life that she loved. It was hard for me to like him since I've known a lot of people who had a similar personality and only led to me being hurt in the end.
I agree that no one fits perfectly with Katniss, but I think that's what makes the dynamic more interesting. It's a balance, an idea of how two different characters will work together and act in order to be happy together. Katniss' speech about her needing Peeta and not Gale is a great representation of that.

I think the love triangle distracted a lot of people form the substance of the plot. It had its place in the story as a whole but I think it stole the focus a lot, especially in the fandom.
