Sorta. I guess since the start of last year, I've been "widening my demographic" so to speak (3D modeling, Anatomy, Life drawing, photo manipulation, The works). I started taking the whole video game designer thing seriously, and also started going to art college, so a lot of what I draw now is self-improvement type stuff (which isn't to say that 75% of what I draw isn't based on my cartoons and comics). As for why I haven't colored/fixed them up and posted them: We can just blame that on common Laziness :I

I stopped doing comics all together and moved on to making an animated series.

Sweet! Yeah, I dabbled in animation for a while. The work is hard, but the end result is rewarding. Animation and comic strips are both good genres to get into cause they both require the process of drawing a single character or object multiple times.

No that's wrong. In fact I've actually taken special precautions to make sure that I'd only have to draw my characters once.

How do you figure?

I draw every single individual jointed body part in Flash and then converted them to a symbol. Every single finger joint.

Ah yes, the ol joint manipulation method.
That's all well and good, but if an animation is to be believable, sooner or later different perspectives, angles and scenarios will require the re-drawing of an object/character from a different point of view. Otherwise it's the just that one image limiting the direction of the overall animation. I've seen it happen before... personally... on my own animations... it was choppy to say the least.

Eh Aqua Teen Hunger Force never really had a problem with it.

Aqua Teen Hunger Force isn't really the first thing I think about when superb animation is the topic of discussion. I'm not going to criticize a show I've never really watched more than one episode of, but I have seen the animation... not terribly impressed.

It's really less about the animation and more about the comedy.

Exactly. I'm just saying that it's not taking home any awards in the "art" department.

Animation and art are two different things. Something with good art can have terrible animation but something with good animation can have terrible art.

Animation IS art. It's the art of combining a series of sequential images to create the illusion of movement or liveliness. Eventually good animation boils down to whether or not the piece is believable. You can have as much aesthetically pleasing imagery as you want, but if it's animated poorly than the whole end product get's dragged down.
