Also, my heart kind of got torn in half seeing Jake insult PB like that. Her face... T-T But she pulled through and told him what's-what!

I was actually pretty glad to finally see her getting scolded for her actions towards Finn. It's all good and well calling them "justified" which is what I always do, but I was pretty surprised when I was kind of cheering Jake on when he said "Don't you know how much he's cried over you?".
I think this is because I reckon PB will become guilty over this and discuss it with Finn (like in Illeity's comics) and I will finally have another argument to use against the PB haters.
Oh, and perhaps another argument to point towards Bubbline if we're lucky.
Basically, Jake's rant proves that he does actually care for Finn's feelings, enough to stand up for him against Princess Bubblegum (although he had made inaccurate assumptions).
But the best part of the trailer was when PB said "This isn't about some petty love triangle". That was basically a replica of what I'd been trying to say about the episode since I heard about it. PB took the words right out of my mouth. That was my final proof that this isn't about jealousy.
Her reaction was pretty fascinating to watch. Look at how confused she is!
The words spoken in that fourth preview (honestly how many previews can one episode have?) reflected the words of pretty much all the fans commenting. The only ones not represented are the Fubblegum fans, but who gives a crap about them? Fubblegum fans generally hate PB anyway despite her being a part of their "OTP". They don't care that it's going to destroy PB's character.
So, after seeing that, everyone is happy. 
This is going to be an amazing episode. I wonder what was on that piece of paper that made PB and Jake freak out?

Also, is it just me or is this some of the most "real" interaction between characters for AT? A lot of the time, PB seems to serve simply as the voice of exposition to set up Finn and Jake's adventures. But this is real character development--characters interacting to face each other's problems. Actually it's a lot like What Was Missing, only this time it's PB and the boys (and maybe FP later on?) instead of PB and Marceline.

"What was missing" was perhaps the first episode where we saw PB interacting with someone she knew well outside of Finn and Jake... well, outside of Finn.
We're going to see PB interacting with Finn, Jake, and perhaps Flame Princess too.
I'll be very content when fubblegum is *finally* laid to rest. And you know why that is because you will be too.
Yep, for the first time it looks like we'll have a proper PB-developing episode, where we see her perspective rather than Finn's perspective. This will be interesting, something which I think we'll also see with "Lady and Peebles".

Oh I'm definitely happy they're addressing the drama between Finn and PB. That was always left hanging, and even though she's rejected him multiple times they never discussed what they truly meant to each other. I don't think PB deserved that kind of a tongue-lashing from Jake though, especially in the context of that particular conversation (but at least it's clear his strong reaction was borne out of a misunderstanding, and as you say it's awesome how he's really sticking up for his bro). I'm assuming PB and Finn will have a sweet conversation (possibly during the "you're my hero" scene?), PB will apologize for any pain she's caused Finn and tell him how much he means to her as a friend and a champion, and Finn will finally begin healing his hurt over PB.
And YES!!! So glad she clearly stated that it wasn't about jealousy! I applaud the writers for taking the more complex (and less creepy in terms of shipping) route for this story! I wish I could hear the thoughts going through PB's head as she relaizes what Jake's accusing her of, but the animators did the next best thing with her expressions. Really great artwork by those artists! Seriously this is just such a fabulous episode so far! But you're right, what's up with all these previews? At this rate, the whole thing will be out before Monday (not sure if I should complain about that...)
Oooh and that paper! I'm thinking it's some devious information about FP. But I don't think FP's really evil, so I'm not sure if this will be a set-up (like the Lich starting a war), or perhaps another misunderstanding, or just fanning the flames of an old kingdom rivalry that no longer has any real relevance. Or maybe FP is really evil? It's funny, her being evil would be such a cliche plot it would actually be a twist given all the other possible explanations. lol After all these previews I still feel totally in the dark, and I LOVE IT!!!

The part where Finn was shown drawing stuff, which I think is the part where PB said "You're my hero", took place before Jake started shouting at PB because of that paper.
I really hope that she teaches Finn how valuable he is to the Candy Kingdom and to Ooo and that he gets a new boost of confidence from this.
I suspect that FP's involvement is going to cause danger to Ooo or the CK or something. I reckon that it's changing Finn's ideologies and shifting him away from his alignment perhaps. Or there is something extremely dangerous about tier 2. Listen to what Jake said: "Finn deserves to be happy, even if he burns his (bloopin?) face off!" This was obvious a direct reference to the dangers of them kissing, however I reckon there is added danger above the burns that would occur on his face and we haven't heard them yet.
What's going to happen after the end of that 4th preview? Jake will probably try and point out all the "jealous" things she's done and PB will explain them, or she might explain straight away the dangers of FP and they would rush off to save Finn.
The "kissing" scene seems to happen outside PB's house.
Did FP run away? Or was she unable to go back to the fire kingdom? Where did she go after the end of "Hot to the Touch"?
When PB inevitably sees FP, how will she behave around her? It's curious that we haven't seen any hints of interaction between them in the previews.

As far as the comics go, apparently the creators don't consider them when writing episodes, so they kind of have a what-if timeline, but unless something in the show contradicts them, they fit nicely into canon

I think in some ways the TV writers will have to interact with the comics (for example *SPOILER ALERT* the giant crater of Ooo gets filled in during the comic--so if they ever show the whole planet again they'd have to take that into account). Apparently Pen Ward works really closely with the comics writers though, so he might guide the two media in continuity of stories.
One thing I'd really like to know is the timeline of the comics. Like if PB and Marceline get together in the comics, do we assume that they are together on all future episodes of the show (even if they're offscreen?) Would this jealousy thing in the upcoming episode conflict with the release of the Scream Queens comics?

If Pen decided it was a good idea to pair them up in the Scream Queens comic, he'd probably have had the idea to do it for the show too.
I guess it depends exactly how it's done. Apparently the episode writers don't consider the comic, so when 'the Lich' comes on that entire saga in the comics will be overwritten.
I'm TERRIFIED about the jealousy thing.

Yeah, I thought that about him too - they have him set up already as a 'mystery guy' in his little description. I think he's a polymorph, myself.
