I'm sort of an everything/nothing type of rider, lol...I've been raised in an area where most of the horse owners are older weekend re-riders/beginners/people who have always been around horses but never did all that much riding, who just ride occasionally, mostly based around trail. Becuase of that I've never been exposed to much very serious riding or competiton, and usually been one of the few people coming out to ride most days of the week. My roots are really in the Western trail riding world, and I just mess around with elements of all sorts of different disciplines in both the English and Western worlds...reining and dressage both definitely top my list, though!
Unfortunately right now I'm in a terrible void between owning a horse and so I'm not doing an sort of riding

Anyway, I tend to ramble on...how about you?

Aww, the horseless times are the worst. I've been horseless for a while now - my horse is actually being reunited with me after 2 years apart tomorrow! - so I'm very excited about that.

You sound like you're from a similar background as me - I kind of ride everything too My background is in general English riding and eventing, but there's nowhere affordable to do that where I go to college so I'm doing dressage and equitation at the moment. I'm a lot more invested in the dressage, haha. I'll try just about anything though. And since the pony I'm getting back is very out of shape, we'll be doing plenty of trail riding to get his fitness back, which I'm very excited about. I hope you can start riding more again soon!

It's funny you say that you're getting back a horse that you've been separated from for a long time, because I might actually be doing the same thing...and my guy is a pony, too! Haha
I'm not sure if it's gonna happen or not, though..we're just gonna see how it goes
But that is very exciting! It's always great to get back with an old friend like that.
