Ok, so I just watched part 1 - and I'm totally engrossed! I love their costumes and homes and so far it is so extremely hilarious. I like Anne a lot! And the abduction club is so funny too
Atfterwards I watched part 2 and it works PERFECTLY! Maybe the internet is as democracy after all
I think I liked part 2 even better than part 1! It's so funny and I love the part where he's showing her yhe horse and where they confront Mr. Power. It's her favorite song! lol
It's so much fun to see a period drama set in Ireland! I've only ever seen English ones so it's a learning experience. thank you for uploading - I'm enjoying it so much!
the ceileng is newly plastered! hshs
it's awesome

Weeee, that's great! Anne is awesome, isn't she? I think that first scene where you see her in her room; that moment when she turns around and looks into the camera, that's when you fall in love with her - she's like a Disney heroine!
I love Strang best though, somehow I can identify with him and I always root for the more quiet characters (not to mention that Matthew Rhys is so pretty!). Oh, and I love how Anne and he quarrel! She insults Mr Power all of the time but he never fights back because he sees her as a ridiculous, little girl, but Strang swallows the bait at once. And I always have to laugh so much at Byrne's lies about "those Bachs", haha, it's simply hilarious. But my favourite moment is when Strang shoots the ceiling at Byrne's abduction. He's enjoying it so much and then Byrne's face! Oh dear, I love that movie so much!
It's true, I don't know any other Irish period drama either. It would be nice to see more of that. Or in Scotland.
I'll record and upload the rest of the movie and then send you the links.
Oh no, it's the Brandenburgian concerto!

Yeah, Anne is awesome from the beginning - and no offense to Katherine, but you can kind of see why Power likes Anne better lol.
Mr. Strang is pretty funny and I still keep laughing over the Dashing Boy scene
Now, Scotland would be an interesting setting! I think more period dramas from anywhere would be welcome!
YAY! I can't wait until you record the rest of it! THANK YOU! I'm sure it takes a lot of time and work to go through all the process of uploading an entire movie and I really appreciate you!

I like Catherine, but I think a man like Mr Power doesn't want a clever woman, but a girl with spirit so he can feel all the more powerful (haha) when she's his.
Dashing boy...I have to laugh every time I think of it. If I had a horse I'd call it that.
That's true, almost everything is set in England. I'm curious to know whether there were other european authors like Jane Austen or Charles Dickens or whether it was just a british phenomenon. And of course someone could make a period drama movie somewhere else in the world, there hasn't have to be a book.
It takes some time, but I gladly serve my fandom. Btw, do you know tumblr? There are some beautiful period drama blogs on there. Oh, and here's part 3: [link]
When I got everything I'll post it in a journal.

Yeah, I agree Anne is just so awesome though, it seems like she outshines Catherine.
If I had a horse, I think I'd have to call him Dashing Boy in honor of that movie too
I don't know, Britain did have a LOT of the good authors but maybe there are just less widely known ones in the other countries.
I've never been on tumblr yet, but it's another thing on my to do list
YAY PART 3!!!!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU! I love this so much It just keeps getting better and better and now that I've seen more of Catherine, my opinion of her and my respect for her has increased proportionately! I am hooked on this, and again thank you!

Yeah, I see it the same way. Although I think Catherine and Byrne were supposed to be the main romance.
I wish I could ride! I'm a bit afraid of horses though, they're so tall. But I love to see people riding in movies.
If you ever go on tumblr, tell me and I will follow you.
You're welcome! I wish I could watch it with you and see it as if I was watching it for the first time! It's so wonderful when you watch a movie you love with someone else and get to see their reactions. I agree, Catherine grows throughout the movie, well, they all do, but we see more and more of her as time goes by.

Oh, well Catherine and Byrne are great too
I LOVE horses! I had a little Welsh pony/Quarter horse named ?Hershey for a little while when I was a girl, and a kind neighbor with two lovely horses, Duke and Charlie, and she'd let my cousin and I go over and ride and groom them. I even enjoyed mucking the stalls
There is something very stirring in people riding in movies, too!
Thank you! I don't quite understand tumblr, but if I ever go on it, I will let you know!
There is something so magical about experiencing anything for the very first time - which is why I think you should watch Cranford
I agree, it's always fun to watch movies with your friends, and sometimes they pick up on things you missed and change your opinions
Can't wait to see more of Catherine! They're all so hilarious

You had a pony as a child? Wow, that's what every child dreams of! I never had any pets but I love animals very much. When I "grow up" (=have a big enough house), it's my dream to have a goat and a goose. Don't ask me why, I just love those animals very much!
It's very confusing in the beginning. But if you have questions you can ask me.
Isn't there? I find it so sad that most of the time when I fall for something, afterwards I can't really remember how it all started and how it felt the first time because I'm so deep into already that it feels like I always loved it. Yay! I just finished watching Merlin, so I need a new series to fill my evenings.

tierramarie In reply to LalaAdanwenB [2012-10-27 04:44:12 +0000 UTC]
Well, we had the pony but unfortunately we only had her for less than a year and I was really young- 7 years old - so while I loved Hershey to death, I probably didn't fully appreciate her at the time
Goats and geese are pretty amazing! Can you have a dog or something small in your house? My little dog, Echo - the profile picture, is my favorite little companion and I love her so much
Thans for your offer, I have yet to join the tumblr website
Yeah, I agree And then when people ask you how you got into it, you almost can't really remember
Did you like Merlin? I've never seen it but my brother said he liked it lol. Do you have any siblings?

LalaAdanwenB In reply to tierramarie [2012-10-27 12:43:40 +0000 UTC]
Ah yes, everything passes even more quickly when one is very young.
I'm living in an apartment, so that wouldn't be good for a dog, I guess. It's not that small but not huge either. Echo is really beautiful! Is she a husky? A friend of mine has a dog, who is a mix of a husky and a German shepherd and he was really wild.
Yeah, I like Merlin very much - I started watching it when I was in Cambridge (as a visiting student for one semester) and it was just so perfect - you see, I studied Archaeology and Indo-European Linguistics and in Cambridge I was attending this very cool institue called Anglo-Saxon, Norse and Celtic. I took classes on Old English, Old Norse, Old Irish and Middle Welsh. So Merlin really fitted that environment. And now I just watched the fourth series and it brings back memories! I have to say I was a little bit disappointed with this season, but in general I definitely recommend it. It's funny and adventurous with some romance. And I really like this idea to make Merlin and Arthur the same age, that hasn't been done before.
Yeah, I have two elder sisters, three and four years older. I'm the rebellious babdy sister. What about you, is your brother older or younger?

Ohh... maybe a goldfish? lol
My dog is actually a miniature pincher, but huskies are adorable too!
Wow, learning all those languages must require an extraordinary capacity for memorization!!! Bravo! I can barely communicate in Spanish, and only then with a very compassionate and patient person lol, and my only fluent language is English.
I have an older and a younger brother, but sadly no sisters. How anout you give me a sister and I'll give you a brother haha

I really like fish, but I'd sort of feel sorry to put them in a glass box. My sister has a tank with fish and crabs, and two snakes and a little lizard, it's like a little zoo!
Whoops! I don't really know much about dog breeds, just that dogs are awesome.
Oh well, luckily when you learn dead languages you don't have to learn that much, because you only need it to translate - so you can look things up in your dictionary and when you translate a lot you memorise the words that are used very often very quickly. At least that's how I do it, and I hated how we had to learn all the inflections and pronouns by heart in Old Greek class. It was too much like school for my taste. I love to learn new languages though, I think it sort of broadens you horizon; it's so fascinating to see how some things are expressed completely different than in your mother tongue but other things are similar.
So you're the middle child and the only girl, that's a cool combination. I sometimes wonder what it's like to have a brother! I have male cousins but I don't know them very well. But I think having siblings is great in general.

When we were kids, my brother had a ridiculously enormous goldfish named Moby Dick lol that actually ate one of the other fish!
Dogs really are awesome, I absolutely concur with you there My very favorite favorite favorite breed is American Eskimo, most probably in love and respect for a little doggie we had when I was growing up. They're so soft and mellow and gentle and affectionate~ [link]
Haha, i does sound startlingly like school It does sound really cool when you put it that way, though!
Yeah, having siblings is really rewarding, isn't it? and it's so much fun to look back on the happy memories of playing MarioKart 64 on the nintendo and pretending to be Pokemon and collecting gigantic amounts of Beanie Babies and all those things that we had so much fun doing when we were little

They look really loveable! I'd like to have a dog but I don't think I could put up with the hairs that go everywhere. I also have a lot of allergies and I think dogs have a lot of mites. But my sister Bea is a passionate dog lover (she always used to bug our parents about wanting one) and I hope she will get one eventually. Then I could come visit and play with the dog but wouldn't have to clean up.
Yeah, the childhood memories are the greatest! There's sibling rivalry too, however. I think it's true that every parent has a "favourite" child, even if they try not to show it and treat everyone equally.

Yeah, they definately do shed lol. allergies must stink That sounds like a very favourable arrangement!
Oh, I agree - and it usually tends to fall on the youngest child. It did in my family, my little brother was always impune to any consequences and coddled. Overall, though, they were (are, I guess haha) a blessing

They do! But they make me appreciate the little things, for example I can't eat normal ice cream (allergy to cow milk), but that makes go euphorical when I get to buy sorbet.
Ah well, not for me - even though my eldest sister always complained that I was allowed to do things she wasn't at my age. I don't get along very well with my Dad and I'm pretty sure one of my sisters is his favourite while my other is my mother's. But maybe they would see it completely different. I just know that I always was/am the odd one out (sort of like Loki) - now I finally know why though, it's because I'm highly sensitive and an INFJ (do you know the Myer-Briggs personality types?). Or in other terms, I'm the only Hufflepuff in my family, lol.

SORBET!! yum! I would trade ice cream for sorbet
Yeah, my little brother could always do those things too Haha, that's awesome.
No, I've never heard of Myer-Briggs... but I can understand the Hufflepuff concept!

Well, that was interesting - I think I'm introverted AND extroverted, is that possible?

I never heard of that, but why not? You can take a test if you're curious: [link]

tierramarie In reply to LalaAdanwenB [2012-12-22 02:18:43 +0000 UTC]
Wow, that was cool! I am convinced I AM both introvert and extrovert at different times The test said I am 56% introvert - see?
Here, I'll copy and paste, this is me:
"ISFJ
Introvert(56%) Sensing(1%) Feeling(75%) Judging(56%)
•You have moderate preference of Introversion over Extraversion (56%)
•You have marginal or no preference of Sensing over Intuition (1%)
•You have distinctive preference of Feeling over Thinking (75%)
•You have moderate preference of Judging over Perceiving (56%)"
Haha, apparently I prefer feeling over thinking - I don't know about that. maybe I'm being too skeptical, and yet some sort of defiance rises in me that says these results aren't wholly accurate, ther's more to me than fifty internet questions. anyways, thanks! that was intersting...

That's really cool! But yeah, of course that test can't define you. It simply was very affirming for me. It's easier when you have a name for things you already feel/know.
