This was a set up. This whole thing screamed set up the minute Bobby, Scott and this new little "friend" stepped into the car and drove off to this secluded area. Bobby always drove around at night but never was it at some barn looking place. And what made things worse was the idea of not knowing where they were going until it was far too late to turn around.
Bobby felt and looked uneasy as they grew closer and closer to this abandoned barn. Fields of corn stood up straight and slightly swayed when a breeze hit the cool night sky. Stars were slightly covered from clouds here and there while the only source of light seemed to be from the headlights of the vehicle. Bobby's dark grey hoodie snuggled closed to his body while they grew to a stop and parked both close to the corn field and several feet from the barn. Why so far? What were they hiding.
Who was this kid that Bobby thought he knew.
"Scott? Scott." He said in an uneasy tone, brows knitted in concern while eyes flickering towards the truck and barn. Now that they were parked, Bobby realized a light glowing from where they stood and how he was right.
This was indeed a set up. He could totally hear Scott telling him in his head I told you so.
"Scott. Scott answer me cause I sound sounding like this and talking to air." Plus he needed to make sure if Scott was still here with him or if he was alone. Alone with a barn, some creepy kid who didn't seem so scared and this empty surrounding of corn.

Since day one Bobby introduced the new friend he made in class, warning bells sounded off in his mind. Scott kept a cautious eye around Jon, and what made his suspicions grow was the increasing number of missing adults and children accumulating ever since he arrived. Maybe it was bad timing, or maybe his appearance had something to do with it. Scott couldn’t make prompt judgments without fact and he knew how much Bobby actually enjoyed talking to someone quite nice.. but what was it about him that had Scott so skeptical? The amount of trust of prolonged time Jon had spent with their group circle manifested when inviting Bobby to go to a party with him.
It was mainly Bobby who was invited, but Bobby was allowed to bring some friends and everyone else was busy, so Scott managed to tag along, albeit reluctantly, but he was curious.
When he exited the car, he could see the skies darkened showing the “party” could get started. Scott labeled it with air-quotes considering it felt like anything but. Where were the obnoxious teens screaming, aside from stereotypical media they were bound to pop up in some parties, unless this was a calm get together. But why in a cornfield far away from the rest of the neighborhood or city?
Jon gave a smile all too friendly to the two before telling them to follow him as he lead the way.
Scott had this uneasiness anchoring his gut for so long and now it was finally piecing together why. At least the setting did. “Normally parties would be around the rest of society,” Scott pointed out to Bobby as he walked over to him, rather low but it may have been audible if Jon was paying attention. “This isn’t normal,” which was his way of insinuating that he did tell Bobby so. He did give him some warnings of how he felt about this kid, and this party before actually heading there, but they already arrived.
“Come on, guys.” Jon glanced back at them, gesturing them to follow before proceeding into the field of corn.

Okay, so this wasn't so bad. Roy could handle this universe switch crap no big deal at all - except it was. Hell, as cool as the whole thing was, in retrospect this was really, really, really, really bad.
So apparently he got switched with some girl who walked through walls? Roy was still kind of confused about that part but there were more pressing matters at hand. Like how the hell it happened in the first place and was there a way to get back home. For now he was stuck in some school for - what were they called again, something starting with an M - mutants, genetically advanced humans with a gene that granted natural inhuman powers. It was partly cool hanging around the students, many of whom loved to show off what they could do and others who were more shy. Plenty thought he would hate them, be afraid and persecute them, at least that's what he was told anyway and the news reports he'd read showed an Anti-Mutant atmosphere within this universe.
In turn, Roy told them about inhuman people he'd met. Aliens like Superman who were kind and revered for his abilities as well as his kindness. Those like himself, Green Arrow and Batman who didn't have essentially any powers but still used their skills for good. The youngsters were fond of his story telling of home, the JLA and missions he'd done. The little ones would beg him to tell the times when he was in the Teen Titans. Lately, although it'd only been about two weeks now, he'd been telling stories about his current group back at home. Red Hood and the Outlaws, a strange name some of the kids had pointed out.
He missed Kory and Dick (even if he was an outsider to the group) but most of all Jason. Not that it meant anything special - keep telling yourself that Roy - however being in a strange place would make anyone miss those they'd held close like their bestfriend. He had to admit he'd give anything to even see one familiar face right about now ; even Ollie's if only to make him feel a little better about knowing someone.
Jesus where's a quiet place to think around here?
Outside he found a spot under some shady big tree. Usually he was with one of the teacher's, helping out or talking for something to do. Unfortunately the kids hounded him, some telepathic kid messed with his head the last time he'd trailed around Wolverine. Not wanting a repeat performance Roy found himself alone, with nothing to be but collect his thoughts and miss home.

It was a few months since Scott and the original X-Men first arrived to this time. As bizarre as it was, the welcoming environment seemed encased by the boundaries of the campus which had them stay for a bit, until they realized why they were really there. Meeting his future self as a terrorist that killed the only man who felt like his father and acted as mentor when Scott needed the most guidance? It was unbearable to think about. To make matters worse, he couldn’t meet a whole lot of new people without getting some sort of glance or being teased in a manner he wasn’t too fond of. Hank, Bobby, or Warren were preoccupied with other things while Jean was .. pretty much he got to see less of her.
And now? There’s a newcomer to this school that wasn’t a mutant? So many new things were practically being stuffed down Scott’s throat, but this was an interesting change. He would have found curiosity speaking to the newcomer, who he had only heard of but never personally met, if personal issues or plaguing thoughts didn’t corrode his state-of-mind. Getting too distressed from the boisterous attitudes of other students fooling around within the school, Scott decided he needed a breather by hanging around outside. While he didn’t have wings like Warren that would allow him to go out and really get away from things easily, at least the vast property of Jean Grey, originally Xavier’s, School made it more possible to get some alone time without being pestered.
Donned in his newer costume (all thanks to Illyana), Scott still missed the blue and yellow costume matched with the other four that practically screamed they were a team. Those days were behind them, or at least til they got the chance to return, so he had to stop moping. Everything was so new and futuristic and different. Scott needed to get a load off, he needed a distraction to reel these pestering thoughts from his mind without being invaded, mentally, by other psionics.
As he peered through his visor, the loud audibility of different students chattering drained out from distance and Scott spotted a man donned in red. Not believing he ever seen the man before, but piecing together the depictions other people gave to him, Scott assumed this was the aforementioned man who did what was normally considered the impossible.
“Um, hi.” Scott greeted, albeit with a tinge of awkwardness emitting from his personage. He looked down at the red-haired male who sat against the trunk of the tree. “I'm guessing you're the person everyone’s been talking about?”

He missed home. The grounds only served to strengthen that, the kids shouting and gossiping, the teachers lecturing, friends walking together and teenage couples holding hands. Okay, maybe that last one didn't really count but it made him sort of crazy wanting to be back with Kory and Jason if only to sit down with a few beers and watch some lame movie. Comfort, he realized, lied with them.
Senses must be dull because Roy hadn't even noticed the approaching footsteps until they had stopped right next to him. He looked up at the (ahem rather cute) young man standing next to him. With a raised brow, the archer listened to the awkward greeting which made him smile. It'd been a long time since he'd felt another soul feeling just as out of place as him. "Well hi, handsome. If you're talking about the guy whose been misplaced from another universe then yes, that would be me." He scooted over a little to give a little spot at the tree trunk and asked with a tilted head, "Wanna sit? Best seat in the house as far as I know." To give it a little more coaxing he grinned a more charming smile if only to gain some company that might make him feel a tiny bit better about being the only non-mutant at a Mutant-Only school in another universe he had no clue existed until Roy had been sucked into it.
Taking a closer look at the guy showed the young man wore a pair of red visor of some kind for the eyes. That got him another raised brow from the ginger boy who has a penchant for questions and curiosity. "Nice shades."

There weren't many judgements or opinions to make at the time about this man excluding the fact that this man seemed pretty calm despite his circumstances. Scott assumed the situation of time-jumping to the future was bad enough, but deriving from another universe? That had its own scale of oddities on a more drastic measure. How wasn't he panicking and able to keep level-headed? Best guess Scott could make was this man was experienced with the bizarre, while Scott was just beginning to integrate himself with abounding strangeness this timeline offered.
The first few seconds involved observation: how this man appeared, what he could infer by his appearance, and if he was as nice and interesting as the other students claimed. He was rather appealing to the eye-- ahem, costume-wise it was appealing since it was red (then again everything was red with vision like Scott's); all-in-all he wasn't bad. The expression did make him seem nicer than some of the students that gawked at Scott as if he was an animal in a zoo.
Scott was rather surprised at the greeting. Handsome, huh? Best he saves that term if he ever saw Angel.
As he saw the other scoot over, Scott nodded at the offer, "Sure, I don't mind. Trunk's more comfortable than a branch--" Did he really just say that? The line formed by his lips contorted with both ends pursed; man was he making a weak impression. He seated himself beside the offered seat, glad there was some welcoming reaction deriving from someone -- albeit not a person of this universe, but it was still something.
His legs were folded as his lower back pressed against the tree trunk. His eyes would have fixated on the ground if he hadn't heard the compliment for his visors, "Thanks. Kind of a requirement to wear just to keep my eyes from blasting everything." Silence arose, as his head remained fixated on the newcomer, "My name's Scott Summers. How're you liking it so far here?"

Roy was having the feeling he was really going to like this guy. Seemed pretty down to earth and not at all judgmental, if just albeit a little curious. Nothing wrong with that.
If anything he didn't mind the stare, afterall Roy was someone who liked a little attention, however, old it was becoming with the universe hop and plenty of gossiping students to indulge him with talk and tale. He was happy to have a companion that didn't seem so overbearing like the younger kids always trying to show off their powers or get him to explain how he got here ; Roy had absolutely no clue and the mystery had to be solved if he ever wanted to return home. Either way it was refreshing being in the company of someone more inviting.
Roy would be a little smitten if he met Angel honestly.
At the lame joke, Roy laughed. It reminded him of Ollie in a little way and Dick whom he also missed dearly. "Well, no offense but I happen to like heights. Branches aren't so bad if you find a sturdy one. Unless, of course, you're afraid of having your feet off the ground." He teased lightly, giving the other a little wink to make it obvious that he was joking least he upset the guy thinking he was being insulting.
He found that he liked the kids red visor, the color a nice shade of red that often appealed to Roy on a personal level. "Oh, laser eyes, huh? That's pretty cool, just like Supes in a way. Kind of a bummer you can't control it then but hey, least you get some killer fashionable shades." He shrugged smiling at the other until something else was said. "Oh, right. Introductions, where are my manners!" He held out his hand, waiting for a response. "I'm Roy Harper, if you didn't already know. It's nice, been awhile since I've been in the whole school scenario.... Wow that makes me sound old." He vaguely moved his hand in a dismissal of the statement. "But I'm really not that old. You seem a little stranded here too- this your first semester or something?"

Don't listen to the names Damian calls you. I don't think you're fat. Everyone has a different body type, Bobby, and yours is what makes you you. I, personally, don't think you're fat.
And if you do worry, I wouldn't really judge you on your weight or appearance, neither should anyone else.
/ scott smiled for once, actually being very sincere on a topic like this.

But--
/ how he was at a loss of words when it came to such a thing. gaze falling towards his sneakers and bottom lip being chewed on because of how unhappy he was about something silly as this.
I don't feel fine. Like you have your super skinny body and have people wanting you for your body and people look at you like "dang he's hot". And I can't wear your jackets or sweaters like most couples do or looking like a pig with my stuff on the tray and---

/ scott could tell bobby was really bothered by this, which is why made him feel worse. he didn't say these words out of pity, he was sincere about them. he did feel infatuated when first enthralled by bobby and it turned into heartfelt affections. so to hear the other break his sunshiny demeanor at the notion of him gaining too much weight.. well, scott did feel rather disheartened.
Who cares about how thin or big someone is, Bobby?
/ scott placed a hand on bobby's shoulder gently, looking down at the slightly shorter male. really, he did beat himself up with this too much and he didn't like hearing someone he admired feel so distasteful of being in their own skin.
I've already told you I don't care how you look. If it helps, I like you a lot this way. And I'm being honest.

[ because the idea was cute and it's still cute also i don't know if you've heard this song but i think it's cute ]
- Jean
Jean Grey. Also known as the bombshell of the whole high school. Girls envy her. Boys practically drool over her presence. But there's one thing for sure, everyone wants her. Course it wasn't suppose to sound creepy but it's true. Majority of boys wanted the label as boyfriend when it came to the redhead and honestly none of them were having it. Not even Scott Summers.
Bobby remembered the time when she pretty much broke his heart. Not a single word was said afterwards and the blond was the one to piece the boy back together where he was now that awkward (yet adorable) teen Bobby has found himself falling for. And by falling he means hard. He might not tell Scott often but really he gets nervous around him. His heart flutters at the sight of those crimson red glasses. His knees become jelly when hearing that laugh of his that he caused. Bobby found himself wanting more from Scott, wanting to be around his presence more and just being with the brunet and he believed he did so. Up until Jean started talking to him again.
He knew she was going to be a problem for Scott was, or still is, head over heels crushing big time on her. Sure Bobby was always there to mend those broken wounds but he felt he'd be unable to actually capture the awkward teen because of old flames. And it has done nothing more than aggravate him because why now? Why ever? He took it upon himself to ask his fathers boyfriend? Love interest? Partner Erik Lehnsherr for some advice of swooning a person over. Cause after leaving than returning, he had to do some major swooning to win Charles back which he did. So after many talks and lessons, Bobby was here with several items in his backpack along with a bouquet of roses behind his back to hid from the one person he didn't want seeing. He scanned the isles of the hall, people giving him looks as he took out a stack of different colored sticky notes and writing things he admires and thinks about Scott Summers.
' You're cute ' . ' I like you're laugh ' . ' You're awkward and I dig that ' . ' I like spending every single moment with you ' . ' I get excited seeing you at my hockey games '
' you're really cute be mine? '
Each note a different color, filling the silver locker with writings he hopes will win the brunet over. His hands holding the roses behind his back, waiting for Scott to appear and trying his best to not look like the doofus who pretty much decorated a boy's locker with lame stuff.
But it was for Scott. All of it was for Scott.

( o h my goodnes s reading this for the second time is MAKING MY HEART HURT and that song omfgggggg it is so cute fosajfkals )
Really, there were so many things just occupying his mind right now. So many issues he’s been having to deal with that always left him without a decision clearly made. Aside from schoolwork, there were things that happened in school that’s been filling his thoughts which was shown through his partly depleting grades (he would try to raise them from now on though.) Really, he couldn’t focus too much on his text books or notes because each time Jean would infiltrate his attempt to study. Jean: the girl who broke Scott Summers’ heart. Not only her but Bobby as well, the person that, well, had really been there to help Scott feel better and cope with the female’s absence when she left. He was leaning one against the other and, God’s honest truth, he couldn’t tell who he was falling for anymore.
Bobby had whisked him away into the kind of happiness he was longing that Jean failed to provide ever since leaving. To say Scott was a bit befuddled with their positive outcome of not being able to let go of one another would have been an understatement because he never thought they’d get along that well. Hell, they were practically opposites so this came to be a pleasant surprise.
But ever since Jean had stepped in, started apologizing for what she did, and just needed room to breathe, there was that unraveled a same, old, familiar sentiment. He couldn’t tell what it was, but .. was he falling for her again? Even after all that? Maybe he had been knee-deep in that puddle of love around her for so long, just when he was about to be yanked up from it, he was sinking again.
Scott walked into the school, fighting off the lack of sleep. Bobby and Jean were occupying his mind too much and all this confusion and guilt that came up was not helping him relax. What was he going to do today? Maybe avoid the both of them, if he ever could, but as that idea was put into consideration, the brunet caught sight of Bobby near his locker. Already feeling a bit sheepish to see the blond, Scott walked over -- because how else was he going to get his text books? -- then noticed the sticky-notes. “Bobby? What’re these..?” He asked, almost finding himself lost in words and entranced by the sweet messages Bobby left along the surface of his locker. Eyes beneath his glasses flickered to the blond. He was confused but … wow.

[ heart hurt with super lame fluffy feels and Bobby being a loser to get awkward Scott to notice him senpai pls you dig the song???? Omg cause it's hella cute and went all 'dawwww ]
Who knows Bobby has been standing there but with each passing second it felt like forever in the blond's eyes. Really, why did Scott take so long to show up? He should just have just been dropped off and walking along those long and dreadful halls to go to his locker for his books. Wait, now that Bobby had thought about it, what if Scott didn't need to go to his locker? What if he had his things all set for the next day and would have just went straight to his first class? Oh man Bobby did not think this through and now he probably looks like a love sick loser.
He probably already looked like the but still.
Just he was about to have some sort of panic attack (maybe?? god he didn't know anything), the sight of those shinning crimson glasses caught his eyes. So Scott didn't forget. Score! Course that didn't settle his nervous or that racing feeling in his heart like when he gets at the sight of Scott. So nothing has changed besides wanting to puke. Don't do it now. Don't do it ever.
"Uhhhh." Words are so hard when you're nervous out of your mind. Bobby was always good with words but in romantic situations like this, his brain went dead and mouth turning to jello. He felt like an idiot just standing there and staring at the star track runner who seemed to be looking and reading the notes? Get it together, Drake. Swoon.
"These? Oh, uh, these! These are sticky notes! Different colored once with different things I like about you!" So far so good. Quickly he grabbed hold of one of the pretty colored paper, reading it outloud as the hand holding bouquet fell to its side. "See, like this one says 'You've got a really cute butt-'"
Nice note, Drake. His face grew completely red as he crumpled up the paper, finding what he wrote completely stupid and not what he wanted to say out loud. By now he was a complete and utter mess and forgot the roses he was supposed to be hiding. Some pedals fell to the floor when being held in an upside down position but the realization of holding something made him quickly bring them up and shove them in Scott's face. "S-Sorry! Oh god. Uh these are for you didn't mean for that to happen."

There were loud shouting and talking outside. Scott groggily opened his eyes, stirring after hearing it. It was a bad idea to keep his window open that night, it became apparent. As he reached for his red-tinted glasses, he put them on and, out of habit, checked the digital clock on his nightstand. It was off and showed no signs of functioning. Dismissing it as a little brown out, Scott got up and walked over to the window where he could see a neighbor down the street -- no, not a neighbor, a pretty young kid accompanying a teenager -- that tried to turn on the car on their driveway. By the looks of it, the car refused to work. It was pretty dark outside as well, and the street-lamps weren't on throughout the entire block, or further down, it seemed. Was the entire neighborhood experiencing a black out? As he shut his window, Scott decided to check his phone for the time. It was obviously night, perhaps midnight, and he wanted affirmation. But as he clicked the power button on his phone to turn on the screen, it wouldn't turn on, or even flicker. He charged it and before he slept, it had eighty-eight percent battery life to it.
This was weird.
Scott walked out of his room, reaching out and trying to make sure he didn't bump into much with the lack of light. It was obvious the entire household grew dark without a glint of illumination there to help him see his path. "Dad?" He asked, finding his room and seeing no one there. "Hepzibah?" His step-mom who would have certainly answered if his dad was either knocked out or gone. Did they leave without him to some remote location? Their RV was in the driveway, from what Scott could recall.
This was really weird.
As he went downstairs there was practically no sign of anything functioning. He meddled with his computer, the power box, and the television but none would want to function. Then there were some loud screams from outside, which caused Scott to step out and see what was going on. He, along with many other young individuals were out on their front lawns, glancing at one another and looking direly confused with what was exactly going on around them. Something was off and not right. Some were testing out their cars and parents' cars to see if it was working, and it was obvious no adult was around. Were they asleep, or gone as well? Certainly Scott's parents wouldn't up and ditch without notifying him first. ... Maybe he wasn't the only one he knew experiencing this.
Scott grabbed his bike he was glad he left leaning against the side of the garage and rode down the driveway and onto the empty, dark streets, all up until he reached Bobby's home.
He got off his bike, and ran up to his doorstep. As he pressed the doorbell, nothing rung out, so instead he knocked loudly enough for him to hear. By the looks of it all, his house was as dark as the rest of the neighborhood's.

Bobby had been knocked out for about an hour now ever since the sudden loss of electronical devices. Bobby was always the one to sleep later than usual, finding comfort in falling asleep around the time that most people had already hit the snooze button and made the world feel a sudden calmness and quiet tone to it all. But he also was one to place ear buds into his ear and listen to soothing music of bands he found himself slumbering to with the comforter over his legs and face attached to the pillow. An hour. An hour he was asleep. An hour before sudden sounds of screams echoed along the empty and dark streets of his neighborhood. And hour before he realized the whole world was changing for the worst.
His eyes were shut as the music had suddenly stopped without much explication. His iPod contained much battery, having it charged all day long while he blasted tunes when doing homework. So when the sudden melody of Coldplay had stopped, Bobby was unaware of it due to having fallen into a complete trance. It was odd, the dream he was having. That everyone, the adults at least, were god knows where and the area grew chaotic for all children and teens alike. No one person was happy and clearly visible of fear all along their faces. And a bright light shinned down on each and every human body all along the familiar streets Bobby had grown up on. Mothers, fathers, grandparents and teachers alike were all gone from existence and there was no explication for it all.
Just as Bobby grew closer to the answer of his dreams, the sudden burst of knocks caused his body to jolt to light and eyes to widen with the sight of darkness. Moonlight barely lit up his dark and gloomy room as the realization sit in that someone was outside his door. Bobby's head turned to look at the alarm clock, noticing that it lacked the numbers and power most clocks had. He had thought that maybe the plug was unplugged, moving his legs and body off the bed to check it, only to find out the clock was still plugged. Brows knitted together as eyes shifted all along the dark room he stood, finding it all odd that there was no signs of life other than himself. No television on to the usual channel of M*A*S*H his two fathers would watch. No chatter between them;; not even a little bicker of god know whatever they would talk about. The ticking of the clocks stopped on his wall as well, finding it odd since his Charles replaced the battery. And definitely no cell phone, Bobby trying to click and turn it on to no avail. Something was odd and he really didn't like it.
"Dad? Pops?" He spoke, voice only being heard by himself. His legs would slowly move from the spot where he stood, by the bed frame and proceeded to make his way over out his room and into the hallway. The darkness felt as if it was spreading all along the walls of the house, painting it in its dark and black feelings. Fear slowly sunk in as the sounds of shouts and talk from outside his house grew louder, causing his body to turn quickly and look over towards his parents room. Quickly his steps became, creaking the door open only to find an empty bed and messy sheets, almost as if a struggle had happened. Kidnap? But then why didn't they take him or anything else? The house looked in one piece and undamaged.
Just as he was about to call out the sounds of knocking caused him to jump, head turning quickly and eyes widening while the hand holding his phone almost fell. Should he answer it? No that would be stupid. But what choice did he have. He needed to know what the hell was going on and try to fix this. Maybe, maybe this was his parents and they returned from god knows where. Yeah. Maybe. Bobby shoved his phone into his sweats pockets as his socks covered feet quickly rushed down from the hallway all the way down to the front door where the knocking grew louder. Without even another word, Bobby unlocked his front door and swung it open, only to be caught off guard by not his parents but the red framed teen he knew from school.
"Scott? What are you doing here--"
Wait what was he doing here? As his eyes focused on him the sudden sight of the driveway and street lamps were completely off and kids all along the sidewalk tried their best to turn on cars along with find signal for their phones. This wasn't a Drake thing. This was an everyone thing. "I'm, uh, guessing you too?"

Normally, if ever prompted to drop by at a late and unexpected time as this, one of Bobby's parents were sure to answer the door. After having known them through conversation, it was easy to assume they would be left in charge to check whoever dropped by, but this weird scenario with kids awake and youths searching for their parents, Scott would have expected Bobby being the one to answer. If he didn't he may have been asleep or gone, too, but if he did, the same situation must have happened. With the entire neighborhood unhinging from their state of mind at the notion all the adults were taken away, there was something highly suspicious on the brink of revealing itself. That was Scott's major hunch. As Scott waited, he took notice of some crimson (or well, in actuality, amber or light brown) splatters and smeared fluids across some pavements of the houses, even droplets of what the brunet assumed was blood. This just spiked up his worry that things weren't safe at the moment.
Fortunately he heard the door knob turn and saw Bobby. Thank God he was okay, but it sounded like his parents were gone as well, which just permeated the concerned look on his face.
"Yeah. The entire neighborhood's experiencing the same thing." But he needed to keep a sound mind, as advised from some powerful, historical individuals he read during his free time. Something told Scott he may need to be very attentive and calm about how alerting this issue at hand was. "Do you have any signal on your phone? Could you turn it on?" In the back of his mind, Scott was hoping this was a vivid dream, but having that hope alone would prove he was awake to intake all this imagery and happenings as they unfolded. Shame too, it would have been a wild subconscious adventure.
"Something's happening.. and obviously we can't just sit around here. I saw some smears across the pavement on my way over to your house and it wasn't there yesterday. Or earlier." Whatever the time was. As he looked over Bobby's shoulder to see inside his home, it was indeed dark. There wasn't any other sound from a running kitchen appliance or the whizzing noise the static from the television made. It was dead and Scott had this unnerving anxiety that something worse was yet to come, but despite all that fear, he was more than tempted to try and discover the fate of his parents. Bobby's parents. And pretty much everyone's parents. "I'm hoping it's just the neighborhood and not everyone." He said, while in the background some sobs from children and infants in a few other households was growing audible. The absence of adults, while in theory would have been a luxury, was now a nightmare. Most of the houses where the parents were absent had only toddlers and babies inside, and everyone else was just in fear for their own personal safety and the fate of their own parents.
It may have been a little strange still draped in his own pajamas, cotton salmon t-shirt, vans, and a disheveled bed-head but having it late in the night, only able to see one color, and only to find the entire few blocks' adults stolen or abducted made Scott's attire completely appropriate.
"We need to see what's going on," Scott's insinuating that Bobby should come. Certainly he hoped the brunet would pick up on it, but at the moment he was weaponless if there ever was much danger going about.

This uneasy feeling of absence was clearly not flowing well for the brunet. Everywhere he had looked around the house there was no Charles to be awoken from it all and tell Bobby there's nothing to be afraid of. No Erik to be the protective figure of the two other males in the house, carrying around a knife or any sort of heavy object from his metal office. No light to shine down and show some sort of path for he and even Scott to see. No nothing. It was a terrible feeling to have and right now he wished this was just some sick and awful joke, played upon some of the parents. Or even a nightmare that any moment he'd wake up from this terrible slumber and find his parents both sleeping on the same bed in a tranquil environment.
But it wasn't a nightmare. His parents were gone, the neighborhood seemed to be experiencing the same disaster he was and only Scott was here to try and calm the nerves Bobby was feeling within his body. Good thing he was good at hold emotions in for Scott would have picked up how truly scared and upset he was by all this.
Upon the question asked, Bobby shook his head and turned to look behind him. How his house looked of an empty void of darkness and seemed to not be turning on any time soon. "No. My phone and ipod were completely dead when I woke up which I found odd because I only slept for about an hour now." His eyes then flickered back to Scott who had mass amount of bed head and an attire as if he didn't care what he was wearing while rushing over to Bobby. Who else would change in a crisis like this. "What's odd though is I had a strange dream before you showed up. Like this massive white light came and just caused parents and stuff to disappear. Kind of like those stupid alien movies we used to watch but only real."
A cool breeze kicked up, ruffling Bobby's dark brown hair in slight swirls and cooling off his warm face. His hands moved up to cross over his chest in a sense to keep his body warm from standing by the door to the outside world. Tired and scared blue eyes scanned along the streets, visible of all the fear and sadness dwelling on the children all along the area. Young toddlers screamed and cried for their mothers, wishing they'd return home. Others roaming the streets, hoping to find a friend to keep them company in times of trouble. But for Drake, well, seems as though he's going on a little adventure.
"You really think it's a good idea to leave this place in search for our parents?" It's not that he didn't care it's more of the fact of did any of them know what they were gonna do. Scott was smart and a leader type of individual. He knew what was to be done and to follow his gut and heart. But this was nuts. This was insane, really. "You had just said you found splatter along the pavement and now you wanna explore around-- Scott, we're not Scooby Doo."
Yet he wanted to see his parents again. Bobby wanted Charles to be home safe and sound and Erik to be around to make his metal sculptures. He missed the soft snoring of his father late at night when going to the restroom and the tossing and turning on the mattress when switching positions. He missed his parents in general. He cleared his throat, eyes lowering to his feet covered shoes and back up at Scott. "I hope you know what you're doing." Bobby stepped out of his house and shut the door behind him. With a small but nervous smile, he waited for Scott to take his role as leader and friend.
[ he totally would and bobby would be the one to follow suit because you know, he doesn't want to be alone. and who knows where the other bbies are at. plus papa erik and daddy charles, where are you?? ]

This situation was eerie and unusual. Uncertainty would taint the walls that bound them into this circumstance and it seemed like there was no way ease would settle into their search for some answers, or everyone’s parents. So far, Scott had a bad feeling settling in his gut that this problem was more worse than merely missing parents. It oozed mysteriousness which came shape in a blood trail that was inevitable for them to follow. Bobby may not have been up for it, hearing his skeptical question, but if he would need any persuasion, Scott would give it to him -- fortunately Scott’s friend was ready to come on board seeing that nervous smile, and one graced Scott’s own lips. Of relief. Gratitude. It was an insane idea to deal with something they didn’t know that was capable of doing so much. After Bobby’s “dream,” it was the red-visor clad teen to inquire it further.
“Hang on,” he paused to think, contemplated whether this occurrence of Bobby’s was being downplayed as a dream. Envisioning what Bobby depicted resulted in an all-too familiar scene, or imaginings, of otherworldly entities taking part in abduction. Abduction of the Earth’s people. Bobby’s connection to those corny alien movies may be stitching itself into reality. “I don’t believe anyone’s parents would just leave their children like this.. But aliens being behind this does sound unreal.” Still, anything was possible with all the parents gone and no electricity working simultaneously.
This situation in itself was unreal.
Seeing the nervousness exposed on a face, which Scott was too accustomed to see with a boisterous smile, made it clear how unnerving their feat was going to be. Still, he needed to do something instead of just stand around here waiting til the threat that took out their parents would make a new move to the remaining others. “Bobby, I know what I’m asking we do sounds crazy, but ..we can’t sit on the sidelines doing nothing while everyone else in the neighborhood, or even city, have all these missing people.” As Bobby, almost nervously, complied. Scott nodded, “I have an idea, but we need to follow the trail. Let's go. It’ll be quicker if use my bike.” They couldn’t risk anymore time gathering themselves at the moment and Scott began to turn around and head down to the driveway where he set his bike.
This was a time that called to be serious. This was real, this was happening. As much as Scott wished this was some sort of dream taking shape as a false reality, it was uncannily real. All the worry for the fate of everyone’s father, mother, aunt, uncle.. it can’t just be lived up to by doing nothing. They needed to take initiative, even if they were underprepared.
He uprighted the bike by holding onto its handlebars and moved himself to sit down on its seat, a foot on the pedal while the other stayed propped on the ground. While Scott had asked his dad to remove the pegs at the back wheel of his bike a while ago, the brunet was grateful his father got too busy to actually do it.
Reflecting back on that memory only made Scott feel more crunched up on the time they had. Who knows what was happening to their parents, whether abducted by aliens or taken in by bad figures. The blood trail was not promising anything good, but it was a good as a lead than anything else. Once they were prepared, Scott had set off, pedaling both his weight and Bobby’s to traverse to where Scott believed he last saw the trail.
