I guess I started around 2004...I took photography courses at  NSCAD for about three years.  Ah, long hours in the darkroom inhaling strange chemicals!  Great fun!  Now that I'm firmly entrenched in the digital age, I can't say that I miss the darkroom; but it was a worthwhile experience.

yeah, seeing such a transformation from one way of developing to instant 'making' of your work would be totally worthwhile. photographer now who never experienced the whole dark room thing wouldn't see just how drawn out the process would be....not only that, but I read somewhere that film and chemicals can give work a different feel..much like the sound of music on vinyl compared to digital recordings..hence the comeback of records and turntables.

id imagine there's still a place for the film and dark-room process for some.

anyways, i'm always into seeing what your eye catches next with your stuff. I think its really interesting.

Aww, thanks again for your encouragement!

Yeah, I've definitely recommended darkroom courses to people, just because it's good to see the whole process from start to finish.  Besides, nothing digitally compares to seeing an image form in a tray!  It's kind of like childbirth, with less screaming.
