Off the top of my head, I can't remember if they even ever show up after Tobaku Datenroku! Fukumoto has a tendency to discard characters after they've served their purpose in the story and only bring them back in flashbacks and stuff. 

Although saying that, since Kazuya-hen and One Poker take place immediately after Datenroku, we might still see them yet!

when i saw it, i figured I nEED TO PUT AKAGI IN THIS.

UGHHHH it was just so disappointing since the other 9 episodes were really pretty good and faithful to the manga but the last one just seemed so rushed and got rid of all the bits I really wanted to see, it was such a letdown!
