A good Photoshop subsitute for now is GIMP. It's free, and it takes a bit of practice, but it worked well for me.
Another would be Open Canvas, and that one has a lovely watercolor brush, which does nice effects when coloring on there.

Okay, I'm going to try to make this work for the BOTH of us.
I'll make some nice linearts, for you and characters that you just made or have in stories.
And I'll show some nice programs for coloring them, because I started with those and I still use them,and they work GREAT.
And I don't want to be enemies, but I realize you do want to show your art. But when people find out you didn't really make it, it would cause issues, which I don't to happen.
So, are you willing to work together on this dear, I would love making some stuff for you.
