Ventus, also known as Ven, is one of the main protagonists in Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep and Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix. His name means "wind" in Latin, similar to how Sora's name is Japanese for "sky". He was a Keyblade wielder before Sora ever became one, and was apprenticed to both Master Xehanort and Master Eraqus. He is the youngest of the trio composed of Terra, Aqua and himself.
Ventus' heart was severely damaged by the creation of the pure being of darkness in his heart, Vanitas, who was created by Xehanort releasing the darkness from his heart, and then again when the χ-blade forged from their hearts is destroyed. Both times, Sora's heart reaches out to mend Ventus's heart, and by the end of Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, Ventus' heart has gone to sleep within Sora so that it can recover until it is fully healed and ready to rejoin his body, which lies comatose but safe within the Chamber of Waking. The official Japanese website refers to Ventus as the "Swift Wind Returning to Bonds" (絆巡る疾風 Kizuna Meguru Shippū?).

Angel walked around town, hands in her pockets and thinking to herself. She wasn't looking where she was going when she bumped into the young blond male, stumbling backwards "I-I'm sorry, I wasn't paying attention to where I was going.." She looked up at the blond, blinking a couple times, a faint red tugging at her cheeks.

He stumbled slightly but regained his composture. "Oh sorry..it's my fault. I should have seen where i was going." He scratched his head some a bit apologetically. He had an embarrassed expression then looked at her. "I'm Ventus. Nice to meet you."

Walking down on the street walk, probably Xion was heading to the ice cream shop since it was her turn to buy it this time, the fact; despite how she concealed herself with her hood on, Xion was hoping she wouldn't get an attention from a stranger, including her friends Roxas & Axel was waiting her at the clock tower.
The nobody's lips pursed itself, getting closer to reach the destination – only few steps so ...

Xion stopped her tracks, which something had caught in her eyes
she turned herself clearly seeing a boy , is that Roxas ? How come ?
Clothes was different, that's the only thing she could say.
Having an argue to talk, she simply approached behind him, tapping his shoulder. " ... Roxas ? what are you doing here ? "

He at that time was just regaining his conscious from where he was and couldn't respond right away. He turned to look at the unknown girl yet her face seemed to oddly familiar. "..dizzy.." He responded then covered his head. "...i slept..then.." He collapsed onto Xion since he was still tired from just awakening from ten years of sleep. His headache made him unaware of what had happened. "Hm..."

Eyes widen in shocked when he collapsed, which automatically Xion thankfully catches him, well with her arms so yeah – Something is not right, to her ... she thought he was Roxas 100% for sure or maybe not, " Slept ? but .. " Her words cut off, she put his arm on her shoulder to help him standing up, " But you were with Axel while ago .. I was just heading to buy the ice cream for us. " She spoke quietly, now this makes her worry, confuse and curious.

He blinked slowly at hearing her words. It didn't make sense to him trying to stand on his own even if he was tired still from his 10 year old rest. Still he was looking the very same. "Huh..I..were?" He asked still feeling pretty foggy. His mind was all messed up and couldn't remember his friends like he wanted to which made him frown. "Wha..i can't remember a thing." He wondered if everyone woke up he would remember them. "Uhm..who are you..?" He asked.

" . . . " So it wasn't him, Xion thought – then what is he ? a doppelgänger ? A slight frown featured on her face as she scooted backward, taking a quick glance around if someone is around or not. Her visible mouth only made a scowl, summoning her keyblade & pointed sharply at him. " Who are you ? why do you look like him ?! "

He jumped back though he was quite tired from his sleep. He summoned his own keyblade to protect himself with in case she would attack. "...what..? Who are you..and where is this place?" He was confused beyond anything else. "...who are you..?" He repeated staring at her face. "And why do you have Aqua's face?" He questioned pointing his keyblade towards her.

The nobody blinked few times underneath her hood, how he can scanned her face so easily ? Sure, her face is priceless – " I . . " Though she was confused, who's Aqua ? sounds unfamiliar, she lowered her keyblade a bit as a mumble came from her mouth, " Twlight town .. " Xion probably ignoring his first question, like seriously she wouldn't dare to open her mouth to speak her name, nope.

He blinked in slight confusion at how she was acting. "Hey! I was talking to you." He noticed her hesitation then heard her mumble something but he couldn't quite catch it. "....." He approached her then took the hood off to see her face properly. "Tell me. I'm not the type to hurt a girl..unless you mean badly against me." He made a smile like nothing had happened.

He wouldn't back away even i she raised her keyblade on him. "You're an odd girl. Anyways..how did you get that keyblade?" He looked at it clearly he knew only of three keyblade masters which was him, Aqua and Terra. "..are you a keyblade master?" He asked looking back at her. "Since you have Aqua's face..and sort of her personality i believe you won't hurt me." He seemed to grin. "I'm Ventus. Nice to meet you, girl."

His question about getting a keyblade was ... kinda difficult to answer – Xion just stand there awkwardly & thinking how to response them all, " Um ... " Should she lie ? is this the only way to struggle out ? well, not really. "... I don't know ..and no i'm not a keyblade master. " She replied as she shook her head, though this boy seems to be friendly .. she seems unsure if he's worthy to trust or not, maybe later she'll tell him her name if they're close or something haha, She gave him a nod as a sign of 'Nice to meet you too'

He grinned at her. "Don't be offended that i said you looked like a friend of mine. It's a compliment." He felt kind of happy around Xion since she reminded him of his very good friend. "So..what is this place? I have never been here before..then again i have been sleeping for ten years." He told her.

She really can't tell if it's a compliment or not, however both of her hands are slightly trembling but quickly hide it behind her back – vanishing her keyblade away, she swallowed the spit from her throat before she spoke, " Twlight town. " She exhaled finally, hoping her voice was clear enough he could hear.
She tilted her head like she was curious, " You're not related to Roxas aren't you ? "

He looked curious at Xion. "Who's Roxas?" He asked not seeming to understand quite what she meant. "I haven't heard of someone with that name but..if he wants to be friends then i do hope so." He grinned towards Xion. "Besides..you're really nice."

" Her lips tugs itself into a smile, as a return – sure she'll forget about her friends & the ice cream thingy if they're gonna stand there & talk. Soon enough her smile fade, ... " ... Nice .. ? Upon hearing his complement, which it did lighten Xion up – though ... why ? she took few step backwards, & her head a bit down, how can you tell .. how she is that nice when either they just .. met ? . So anyway, she wasn't sure how to give him an excuse that her friends are waiting for her, " Um .. well .. "

Xion like couldn't help but ... she felt a heat rushing across her cheeks, she glance away shortly – exactly this guy was nicer yet differently from Roxas. No, please put him on a side, she then look back to him directly, nodding a bit.

"I see..so uhh..could i come with you? You could show me around? Or..better yet. Why don't i help you with whatever it was you were going to do." He grinned slightly a little bit oblivious.

The nobody stood there silently, tagging along is a great idea but .. the only thing she can't bring him to the clock tower to show her friends about him – she sighed a bit, " Sorry .. "

He stared at her. "For what? You think i won't find out what you're doing..? You're waay too suspicious. I'll find out eventually.." He kept noticing she stared towards a direction which made him walk towards it looking up to see the clock tower. "So that's what it is? You hid that from me."

A sudden twitch from her hand, balling up together also surprised with his behavior, " ... " Xion had no words sadly, far upon the clock tower there was Axel & Roxas probably having a nice chat while staring the horizon. " Tch - " She frowned, having two choice which is hard to pick ... Run away or Fight ? , It didn't take that long when she saw him looking at the clock tower – taking a chance by shifting her feet backward & putting her hood on, yep she turned around & started to run away like a wind.

He turned back around to see that she was running away which made him curious. He followed after with a slightly determined expression. He smacked his left shoulder and was eventually able to fly on his keyblade. Once reaching her he jumped off hugging her down. "Wait..! You can't just run away. What am i supposed to be doing if you leave? I'm all alone." He didn't mean to land that hard on her so he hoped he didn't injure her.

Great, oh how wonderful ! She wished she haven't approached him in a first sight, maybe talking outside people is quite ... weird, yet their behavior was clear in front of her – now being hugged by the boy causing Xion to struggle out, she kinda managed to blurt out, " Just find someone else ! "
With her replay she paused on her struggle, staying quietly – Xion, herself wasn't suppose to talk with someone like that besides its against the organization rules because who knows if Ventus will be knowing their plan soon ? The world will never know.

He narrowed his eyes after hearing that. "You think i'll just casually walk away after all this? You approached me..and you smiled. Didn't you remember that you made me feel better? Besides..if you're this kind of girl..how would i know if you're not working for someone bad?" He asked looking right at her face. But since he wasn't the cruel type he would let her go. "Those two up there on the clock tower had the cloaks like you do. Something doesn't make sense to me." He would get up. "Sorry i forced you."

The nobody frowned once again, " I just thought you're ...him that's all. " That's all she said from her trembling lips, she wouldn't repeat her friend's name again & again.
She honestly wanted to befriend him – she really do, ... it's difficult, really. Well, what else she can say or say ? there's no way she can tell him the truth ! She looked down on the floor as if she's disappointed, " No, .. I'm sorry i just .. i don't know. "

"Are you sure...? I guess i'll be walking blindly alone until i find some people who can tell me where i am." He shrugged lightly feeling quite down. "Sorry you confused me for someone else." He had never felt this way before but would back away from her.

Xion was afraid, why ? let's say if any of the organization spotted her talking with outside people – things well happened, or receive a punishment that no one would ever expected for – She glanced around like few moments, ducking her head down as she mumbled, " Wait .. "

He stopped glancing at her awaiting to hear what she wanted. "..what? You gonna tell me?" He asked making a tiny smile. "What's the worst that could happen if you just told me? I'm not really the type to just ditch others once i know." He winked.

" We simply fight against the heartless, to keep people safe . " Oh that was a truth by the way but couldn't exactly tell him their true goal was – yeah, better keep her mouth shut since Xion sometimes can be a type who accidentally slip her tongue out & say it.

"Oh..? So the cloaks mean you're good people trying to rescue people in trouble?" He seemed to take it the other way with a smile on his face. "It sounds great! Why would you hide something so great?" He asked smiling at her. "I should meet those two up there too. We'll all become friends and beat those heartless together." He chuckled at the thought. "At least before i need to go home." He remembered he had a home and had to return someday but first he wanted to look around the place first.

Oh god, Ventus sure is overhyped – but if he's becoming friends with her two friends will truly be not good, her face looks extremely pale now – Xion bit her lower lips which it remains silent for few minutes, she pulled down her hood & rose both of her hands as a halt, " U - uhm, you see .. they're not that friendly as you can see.. " Obviously her first lie.
