You should have no problem getting a job, I think. Then, I have not been able to find a job in the past 3 and 1/2 years. But I am not as good as you are. So just use this time to build up your portfolio and learn some new skills, or even start your own design business, or sell limited edition prints. If those things (limited edition prints on acid-free paper) sell these days, I don't know. But you should find an art gallery that will promote you. Or be an illustrator ...... Don't worry!

I hope you are right!! i am studying illustration now and got 1 year left, also thinking about thaking a year of graphic design or somthing. a friend of mine and i are thinking about starting our own buisniss but we feel that the marked is unstable so we are not that shure. But also we need to finish school first

Got many ideas these days how to promote myselfe but i miss the cash My biggest idea is to buy a volkswagen (the one from the 60) and make it into a graphic piece of art... think that may get some attention. also buttons, prints, t-shirts, buisniss card, book and a homepage....i got a blogg but i think im gonna need a hompage. so you are from hong kong?? how is the marked over there?? think you got some greate photos in your gallery, why not try to build your design around your photos?? i know about some greate artist that do that, check out this guy!! HE IS AMAZING!!!

Hi Viking man,

I checked out your blog page and more of your works. Definitely see your incredible talent. I am sure you will be successful -- sooner or later.

Of course, the best thing is to have your own business, but I think it's necessary to have some solid commercial experience, such as working at an advertising agency. This has the advantage that they give you plenty of interesting work from big name clients. (I hope!) After that, it may be much easier to start your own business and succeed.

I am a European man in Hong Kong. 3 and 1/2 years here. I love the life in Hong Kong, but sometimes I miss Europe. Hong Kong market? I know for sure that it's not easy to get a job in design, unless perhaps a designer is really good. But Hong Kong has lots of money, local people love to buy extremely expensive watches, jewelery, fashion, cosmetics. I think there is a lot of opportunities here for designers. I also love being here because I see fancy magazines with awesome designs, large billboards, advertisements everywhere. People dress very well in very expensive clothes ....... Hong Kong is a joy for the designer.

Not a bad idea to start in an agency or in some kind of a design buisniss to meet customers. just got to se how it turns out affter studying illustration and maby graphic design.

Hong kong sounds like a ineresting place. lets keep contact peter,and we will se whats happening after a while. i am willing to do design for you if you need any,not any problem

Hong Kong is amazing place! It really is. You should visit Hong Kong (HK) sometime! It is not expensive here like Europe. I think you would create some beautiful artworks about Hong Kong!!!!!!!!!!!!

The girls here are very very beautiful and their personality is very mild and kind. Many western men come here and never want to return to Europe (or USA) because of the girls here. Local girls also wear beautiful clothes and wear ALL STAR shoes.

Mainland China is right around the corner, if you really want to go there. For an artist, China is interesting in many ways, most especially because of the calligraphy, ........

I need to design a poster for my wife. She is a musician and has a little band called "3 Girls Band" (but in Chinese, the name means "3 Phoenixes"). I could do the design myself, but I admire your work, and I am sure you would do much better job.

sounds great!girls i europe looks good but theyr personality is crapy, very often...

i realy like calligraphy, and think it is a interesting form of art...would love to see some more of that...maby combine that with somthing new...could be an interesting tryout.

i can do the poster if you want that, as long as i get the credit for doing the work. If you also could take a picture for me, of the poster hanging in HK or somthing so i could use it in my portfolio....
