haha sometimes, yes. My friend (Sprinklesisdelicios) has amazing work and I sometimes get a bit jealous, cos she doesn't even have to work at it. But she does more staged photoshoots than I do. If I see something I like, I just take a picture of it. I like to use other people's work as a learning experience. If they use a different angle than what's normal, I might try it out, or if they use different colours next to each other.

For me, I always get a little competitive and just try to create better art. But, I get lazy at times. lol

omg yeah I know what you mean. I get that sometimes too. I usually will start something, then either never finish it, or not finish it for a long period of time. I started this painting for my friend's band last year and I still haven't done anything to it. It looks almost exactly the same as it had a week after I started it.
Sometimes the competetive-ness can be a driving force, but sometimes in your desperateness to be better you can get sloppy or just plain old stop having fun with it. I just try to focus on what I want to do. I don't care what anyone else thinks. The compliments are nice, but they're not going to make or break me.

That always happens to me too. lol. I always start up so many projects, but after a while, I just get bored or sick of itand I just usually abandon it or don't actually touch it again for ages. Motivation-wise I guess is just wanting to get a job that I enjoy in the future. lol.
